Alright, let’s gab a bit about this Seattle sports thing, you know, the kind they yap about on the TV and radio. I ain’t no fancy expert or nothin’, but I hear things, see things, and I can tell ya a thing or two, the way I see it.
So, they got all these teams in Seattle. Big ones, like them Seahawks fellas playing that football game. Tough guys, runnin’ around, knockin’ each other silly. Then there’s the Mariners, hittin’ balls and runnin’ in circles. Baseball, they call it. And them Sounders, kickin’ a ball with their feet, soccer, I think. Fast little fellas, them Sounders.
And now, they even got a hockey team, the Kraken! Never seen nothin’ like it, guys skatin’ on ice, chasin’ a little black puck. Sounds kinda crazy, but folks seem to like it. All these teams, they got their own games, their own players, and their own fans, all cheerin’ and hollerin’. It’s a whole lotta fuss, but I guess it keeps folks entertained.
Now, this “Seattle Sports Online” thing, whatever that www dot com stuff is, they say it’s the place to go if you wanna know about all this sports stuff. They tell you who won, who lost, who got hurt, all that jazz. Sounds like a lot of information to me, but if you’re into that sort of thing, I guess it’s handy.

- They even got stuff about bettin’ on games, which I don’t understand one bit. Gamblin’, sounds like trouble to me.
And they talk about that “fantasy league” stuff. Sounds like make-believe to me. Grown folks playin’ pretend games with pretend players. Well, I guess everyone needs a hobby, even if it’s a bit silly.
They also got these radio stations, like that 710 ESPN Seattle, or now they call it “Seattle Sports” somethin’ somethin’. They talk about the games all day long. You can listen in your car, in your house, wherever you go. They got fellas yellin’ about plays, arguin’ about calls, and interviewin’ them players. It’s like a never-ending sports party, if you like that kind of party.
Then there’s this other station, 93.3 KJR, they call themselves the sports leader. More talkin’ about sports! Seems like everybody in Seattle is crazy about these games.
If you want to keep up with the Seahawks, they say this online place has all the details. You know, who got injured, when they playin’, who they might get rid of and who they might get, all that stuff. It’s like followin’ a soap opera, but with sweaty fellas in helmets instead of pretty ladies cryin’ and yellin’.
And it ain’t just the big teams neither. They got all sorts of other sports, too, little college teams and whatnot. Seems like there’s always some game goin’ on somewhere in Seattle. It’s a busy place, this Seattle, always somethin’ happenin’. And if you want to know what’s happenin’, you go to that online place, they say. They got it all covered.
So, that’s the lowdown on Seattle sports, as far as I can tell. Lots of teams, lots of games, lots of talkin’ about it.
