Okay, so, I’ve been digging into this whole “Zia Health and Wellness” thing, and I’ve got to say, it’s been quite the ride. I started off a few months ago just wanting to feel better, you know? More energy, less of that sluggish feeling. So I started reading up on health and wellness stuff. I found this definition from like way back in 1986 and it is saying, “Health is a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.” Well, that hit me hard!
First thing I did? I changed up my diet.
- Cut out a ton of processed junk. I’m talking about those snacks that are super convenient but don’t make you feel good after, those needed to go.
- Started cooking more at home. More veggies, more whole grains, the whole nine yards.
It wasn’t easy at first. I mean, I missed my sugary snacks, but I started noticing a difference pretty quickly. I didn’t feel as bloated, and I had a bit more pep in my step. This was working so I kept going with it!
Next, I tackled exercise. Now, I’m no gym rat, never have been. But I started small.
- Started taking walks every day. Just 30 minutes, nothing crazy. Sometimes I would do it after dinner, the fresh air really was a big boost.
- Found some online yoga videos. I was surprised by how much better I felt after just a few sessions.
The physical stuff was great, but I also knew I needed to work on my mental well-being. I can’t believe how much family plays into it! I learned that family can play a role in things like stress and how you see yourself. I tried to focus on that and work on improving those relationships. I found some interesting things about the chemicals released from the adrenal medulla, but I didn’t really understand it.
I found that stress was a big one for me. I started doing this:
- Started taking a few minutes each day to just breathe and be present. I’m still not great at meditating, but it helps.
- Made sure I was getting enough sleep. This was a game-changer. Turns out, sleep is pretty important, hah!
The Results
So, what’s the outcome of all this? Honestly, I feel like a different person. I’ve got more energy, I’m sleeping better, and I just feel more balanced overall.
It’s not about being perfect, not at all. It’s about making small changes that add up over time. It’s about feeling good, not just physically, but mentally too. I’m still working on it, still learning, but I can tell you, this whole “Zia Health and Wellness” journey has been worth it. Just goes to show you that taking care of yourself really does make a difference.
This is just my experience, of course. What works for me might not work for everyone. But I figured I’d share what I’ve been up to. Maybe it’ll inspire someone else to make some positive changes. And if you have any tips or tricks you’ve found, I’d love to hear them!
