Well, howdy there, y’all! Let’s chew the fat about this here… technology stuff, the kind they’re jabberin’ about on that there pblinuxgaming thing, whatever that is. Seems like every day there’s somethin’ new poppin’ up, makin’ things all fancy and complicated.
The AI thingamajigs
Now, they’re talkin’ ’bout this “AI revolution” like it’s the Second Comin’. Heard tell it’s got three parts: “gen AI,” “applied AI,” and somethin’ called “industrializin’ machine learnin’.” Sounds like a whole lotta hogwash to me, but they say it’s gonna change everything. Gen AI, that’s the one makin’ up stories and pictures and such. Applied AI, well, that’s like when your phone knows what you’re gonna say before you even say it – kinda spooky, if you ask me. And that machine learnin’ thing? I reckon that’s teachin’ them machines to think for themselves. They say by 2028, these AI things will be makin’ decisions for folks at work, like fifteen outta every hundred decisions. Lord have mercy!

Them fancy glasses and such
Then there’s this AR and VR stuff. AR, that’s when you wear them glasses and see things that ain’t really there, like a little critter runnin’ around on your kitchen table. VR, that’s when you put on a whole helmet thingy and you’re somewhere else entirely, like flyin’ through the sky or swimmin’ with the fishes. They say this is gonna be big for games and learnin’ and all sorts of things. Imagine that, learnin’ about the pyramids without ever leavin’ your livin’ room. Though I reckon I’d still rather just watch it on the TV.
More and more machines doin’ the thinkin’
They’re callin’ it “agentic AI” now, makin’ it sound all important and such. Apparently, it’s gonna be the top dog next year, the big cheese in the technology world. They say it’s gonna be makin’ decisions for us, like I said before, fifteen percent of ’em by 2028. Makes a body wonder what we’ll be doin’ all day if the machines are doin’ all the thinkin’. Maybe we’ll finally have time to sit on the porch and drink sweet tea all day long.
Technology everywhere, I tell ya!
These smart fellers, they’ve been lookin’ at all the new technology and they’ve come up with fifteen big trends. They’re puttin’ ’em into groups, sayin’ it’s an “AI revolution”. They’re talkin’ ‘bout things I can’t even pronounce, like “democratized IT” and “executive influence” – sounds like a bunch of fancy words to me. But I guess it means technology is everywhere and it’s changin’ how we do everything. They said they spent thousands of hours talkin’ to them tech folks and readin’ all sorts of research. Seems like a lot of trouble to go to, if you ask me.
What’s it all mean?
So, what’s the upshot of all this? Well, I reckon it means things are gonna keep changin’, and fast. They’re gonna keep comin’ up with new gadgets and gizmos, and we’re gonna have to figure out how to use ’em, or just ignore ’em and stick to what we know. Personally, I’m happy with my old ways, but I guess some folks like all that fancy stuff. To each their own, I always say.
Gamin’ and all that
Now this pblinuxgaming thing, I reckon it’s about playin’ them computer games on that Linux thingamajig. My grandson, he’s always fiddlin’ with them games. Seems like they’re gettin’ fancier all the time, with all this AR and VR stuff. Guess it’s fun for some folks, but I’d rather be outside tendin’ to my garden. All this technology, it just makes my head spin.
But hey, that’s just my two cents. You young folks can have at it with all your fancy technology. Just don’t forget to come visit your old granny every now and then, ya hear?
