Okay, so I’ve been getting into collecting sports cards lately, and I wanted to check out the scene here in Seattle. I’d heard there were a few good spots, so I decided to spend a Saturday exploring.
First, I hit up Google Maps and just typed in “sports cards Seattle WA”. That gave me a bunch of pins to look at. I zoomed in on a couple that were close to where I live, and read through some reviews.

I decided to start with a place called “AAA Sportscards” in Edmonds. Sounded promising from what I read. I hopped in my car and drove up there.
The Hunting start!
When I got there, the shop was smaller than I expected, but pretty packed. They had display cases all around, mostly filled with single cards – some graded, some not. There was a wall of boxes in the back. I browsed around a bit, checking out their selection of baseball cards – that’s my main thing.
- They had a decent selection, but their single cards price are a little bit higher than market price.
- I chatted with the owner for a few minutes, and he mentioned there are some better deal in the wax box.
- I checked out, and he gave me some advice about other shops to check out in the area, super friendly guy.
Next, I headed over to another shop I found on Google Maps, called “Seattle Sports Cards” in the U district. It was a little bigger, and they had a wider variety of stuff – not just cards, but also some memorabilia and apparel.
- This place felt a bit more modern, with brighter lighting and louder music.
- I dug through some of their boxes of older packs, hoping to find a hidden gem.
- No luck this time, but it was still fun to look.
Finally, I made a stop for the last spot called Shane’s. This place looks like a family-run store.
- The price are very reasonable! And I also find some of the single cards I am hunting for.
- I also found some of old basketball cards.
I spent a good few hours driving around and checking out these shops. It was a pretty successful day overall – I picked up a few cards that I was looking for, and found some old cards I never thought I can find in store. Plus, I learned a bit more about the local card collecting scene. I’ll definitely be going back to some of these places, and I’m excited to explore more of what Seattle has to offer!
