Okay, so I’ve been getting into collecting sports cards lately, and I live near Seattle, WA. I wanted to find some good local spots to check out, so I did some digging and this is what I found, and how it went.
The Hunt Begins
First, I started by, you know, hitting up the internet. I searched around for “sports cards Seattle WA” to see what would pop up. I found a few places that seemed promising, and I wanted to go see for myself.

Hitting the Shops
- Shop 1:This place had a decent selection and looked pretty well established.
I browsed for a while, and looked at the various types of cards and memorabilia. The staff was pretty helpful, too.
- Shop 2: I decided to go to this shop and it was much smaller, kinda felt cramped, but the guy behind the counter was super friendly. He saw I was new and took the time to explain a few things.
- Shop 3: The final shop I went to, well, let’s just say it wasn’t my favorite. Kinda dirty. The cards they had seemed overpriced. Didn’t spend much time there.
My Takeaway
After visiting a few places, I realized it is important to really get a feel for the shop. Some are great for finding specific cards, some are better for chatting with other collectors, and some, well, are best avoided. I’m glad I went out and explored though.
My biggest piece of advice? Don’t be afraid to ask questions! Most people in this hobby are pretty passionate and love to help out newbies.
