Okay, here we go. Let’s talk about my “tech town building 3” adventure.
So, I kicked things off by sketching out a rough plan. I’m talking real rough, like chicken scratch on a napkin. Just wanted to get the basic layout in my head. What kind of buildings? Where would the roads go? You know, the big picture stuff.

Then I dove into the actual building part. I started with the town hall. Figured that’s gotta be the center of everything, right? I messed around with different shapes and sizes, just slapping stuff together until it looked…well, town hall-ish. Lots of trial and error, let me tell you. There were definitely some ugly duckling designs along the way.
Next up: Roads. This was a pain. Getting them to connect properly and not look like a tangled mess was way harder than I thought. I spent a good chunk of time just fiddling with road placement, deleting and re-doing sections over and over. Seriously considered just paving the whole thing over and starting from scratch at one point.
After the town hall and roads were somewhat decent, I started adding residential buildings. Just basic houses, nothing fancy. I copied and pasted a few times to save time, but made sure to vary the colors and roof styles so it didn’t look too repetitive. Don’t want my town to look like some cookie-cutter suburb, you know?
Then I thought, “Hey, every town needs some businesses!” So I threw in a general store, a bakery (gotta have bread!), and a little workshop. I tried to make each building unique, giving them their own personality. The bakery, for example, has a little awning and some crates of “flour” out front.

Getting into details now. I spent a while adding smaller details to make the town feel more alive. Things like streetlights, benches, and little patches of greenery. Even added a tiny park with a little fountain. The small details make a big difference!
And that’s basically it! It’s not perfect, not by a long shot. But hey, it’s a tech town.
