One time, my neighbor, old Mrs. Henderson, she went in for a simple surgery, you know? Somethin’ with her knee. And wouldn’t ya know it, they messed it up somethin’ fierce! She ended up walkin’ worse after the surgery than before. Said the doctor wasn’t payin’ attention, talkin’ on the phone or somethin’ before the operation. That’s what she gets for trusting those city doctors. Now that’s what I call negligence. Pure and simple.
And it ain’t just surgery, ya know. Sometimes, it’s the medicine. They give ya the wrong stuff, or too much, or too little. And if they do mess up, they need to own up to it. They need to say, “I’m sorry, I made a mistake.” And they need to do everything they can to make it right. So, yeah, negligence in healthcare… it’s a real problem. It causes a lot of pain and sufferin’. And it needs to stop. We need to hold these doctors and nurses accountable. We need to make sure they’re doin’ their jobs right. ‘Cause when they don’t, it’s the patients who pay the price. And that ain’t fair, not one bit.
The whole system’s broken, if you ask me. Too much paperwork, too much rushin’ around. Doctors these days don’t have time to just sit and listen to you anymore. They’re always lookin’ at their watches, worried about the next patient. And that’s when mistakes happen. Simple as that.
