Alright, let’s talk about this Seattle and Utah Tech basketball game, ya know, the one them college kids play. I ain’t no expert, but I watched it, and I got things to say.

First off, Seattle, they got this team called the Redhawks. Sounds kinda fierce, like a hawk ready to snatch up a chicken, only it’s a basketball. They played against Utah Tech, somethin’ called the Trailblazers. Don’t rightly know what a Trailblazer is, sounds like someone makin’ a path in the woods or somethin’. Anyway, they played ball, and it was close.
One game I saw, Seattle won. Score was somethin’ like 66 to 65, real nail-biter. Another time, Seattle won again, 78 to 68. That boy, John Christ-o-fill-us, or however you say it, he scored a whole bunch of points, like 25! He must be pretty good, that young’un.
- Seattle Redhawks, they got that Christofillis fella, real good shooter.
- Utah Tech Trailblazers, they put up a good fight, but seems like Seattle had the edge.
They was talkin’ about this game on somethin’ called ESPN. It’s on that TV thing, shows all sorts of sports. They had the score and everything, real fancy. You could watch it live, see them kids runnin’ and jumpin’ all over the place. Makes me tired just lookin’ at ‘em.
Now, I heard Seattle’s a big city. Lots of folks livin’ there, even folks from other countries. They got a place called Ballard where a bunch of them Scandinavians settled. Don’t rightly know where that is, but sounds far. Seattle University, where them Redhawks play, it’s got a whole bunch of kids, boys and girls both. More girls than boys, it seems. And them kids, some live on campus, some live off. Just like a little town all its own.
Heard tell livin’ in Seattle ain’t cheap, though. A family of four, they need a whole lot of money just to get by, even without payin’ for a house. A single person, they still need a good chunk of change. Makes you wonder how them college kids afford it, unless their folks are helpin’ them out. Maybe they got scholarships or somethin’. Them smart kids, they get all sorts of help.

This Utah Tech team, they ain’t bad, but seems like Seattle’s got the better team. They keep winnin’ against them. I don’t know much about Utah, but it’s probably different from Seattle. Probably got more wide open spaces and less of them fancy city folk. But basketball’s basketball, no matter where you play it.
I saw somewhere that Seattle started playing in the New Year, somethin’ about a Western Athletic Conference. Sounds important, like they’re tryin’ to be the best. They got a record, like 8 wins and 5 losses. That’s pretty good, I reckon. Better than losin’ all the time, that’s for sure.
So, if you ask me who’s better, Seattle or Utah Tech, I’d say Seattle. They seem to win more, and they got that Christofillis fella who can really shoot the ball. But hey, anything can happen in basketball. One day you’re winnin’, the next day you’re losin’. That’s just how it goes.
Anyways, that’s my take on it. Just an old woman watchin’ basketball, tryin’ to make sense of it all. It ain’t always easy, but it’s entertainin’, that’s for sure.
Go Redhawks, or somethin’ like that.
