Well, howdy there! Let’s jaw about this here se texas political review, alright? I ain’t no fancy city slicker, just a plain ol’ person tryin’ to make sense of things.
First off, they talkin’ ’bout this “deep dive” the Texas Democrats are doin’. Sounds like they got their butts whooped in the election and now they scratchin’ their heads wonderin’ what in tarnation went wrong. I tell you what went wrong, they ain’t listenin’ to folks like me! They up there in their big offices, drinkin’ their fancy coffees, and forgettin’ ’bout the everyday folks workin’ their fingers to the bone.
- Problem Number One: They ain’t talkin’ our language. All this highfalutin’ political jibber-jabber, nobody understands it! They need to come down here and sit on the porch with us, drink some sweet tea, and listen for a change.
- Problem Number Two: They ain’t carin’ ’bout our problems. Prices goin’ up, jobs disappearin’, and them politicians are too busy fightin’ amongst themselves to do a lick of good. We need jobs, good pay, and a chance to make a decent livin’.
- Problem Number Three: They ain’t got no common sense. Seems like everythin’ they do just makes things worse. They passin’ laws nobody wants, spendin’ money like it grows on trees, and forgettin’ who they work for.
Now, they talkin’ ’bout southeast Texas, places like Beaumont and Port Arthur. I reckon that’s where all the fuss is. Heard tell there’s a committee formin’, gonna figure out why their candidates got beat so bad. Well, I coulda told ’em that for free! They ain’t connectin’ with the people. They ain’t understandin’ what folks want. They need to get down here and see how we live, see what we need.
This here “se texas political review,” whatever that is, if it’s gonna be worth a darn, it needs to be straight talk. No sugar-coatin’, no fancy words, just tell it like it is. They need to talk about the important stuff: jobs, schools, roads, and keepin’ us safe. And they need to listen, really listen, to what the people have to say. Not just the rich folks, not just the city folks, but everybody.
Folks ’round here are worried. They worried about their kids’ future, worried about payin’ the bills, worried about the way things are goin’. They want some hope, they want some change, and they want somebody they can trust. And right now, they ain’t seein’ much of any of that.
I heard tell there’s been a bunch of money pourin’ into them races down south. Millions of dollars! Where’s all that money comin’ from, and what are they doin’ with it? Seems like a whole lotta money to be throwin’ around, and I ain’t seein’ much of it down here.

They got these “influential people” down here too. Well, I’d like to know who these folks are. Are they helpin’ us or hurtin’ us? Are they listenin’ to us or just lookin’ out for themselves? We need folks who are gonna stand up for the little guy, not just the big shots.
Anyways, that’s my two cents on this here se texas political review. I ain’t no expert, just a person tryin’ to make sense of it all. But one thing I know for sure: them politicians better start listenin’ to the people, or they gonna find themselves outta a job come next election.
And they better start talkin’ plain English too! All this fancy talk just confuses folks. We need it simple and straight. Tell us what you gonna do and then do it! That’s all we ask.
I reckon I’ve said my piece. Now I gotta go get back to work. Life ain’t gonna wait on no politician, that’s for sure.
