Well, let me tell ya about this Kellie Harper and that Virginia Tech thing. Sounds like a whole lotta basketball talk, if you ask me. Folks keep jabbering ’bout scores and records and whatnot.
Now, this Kellie, she’s a coach, see? Like, tellin’ them girls what to do with the bouncy ball. Heard she was at some place called Tennessee, leadin’ the Lady Vols. Volunteers, I reckon. Guess they volunteer to run around and throw balls.
- They won some, they lost some. That’s how it goes, ain’t it?
- This one time, they lost to Virginia Tech. Sweet Sixteen they call it. Sounds sugary, but I bet them girls weren’t happy ’bout losin’.
Then there’s this other game, December 4th it was. Kellie, she had to answer questions after. Don’t know what they asked, but probably somethin’ ’bout why they didn’t win. Folks always wanna know why ya didn’t win. Like it ain’t obvious, the other team scored more!
Now, this Kellie, she’s been coachin’ for a good while, they say. Best start to her career, eight wins in a row, somethin’ like that. Good for her, I say. Keeps her busy.
Money, too. She’s gettin’ a whole heap of money. Million dollars, somethin’ crazy like that. And a raise, too! Imagine, gettin’ paid all that just to tell folks to throw a ball in a hoop. Times are changin’, that’s for sure.
She got a husband, Jon. He helps her with the coachin’, see? Teamwork, they call it. Like when you’re shuckin’ corn, two hands are better than one. They got kids too. Two of ’em. Busy family, I tell ya.
Virginia Tech, they got a new coach now, Megan Duffy. Another lady tellin’ folks what to do with the bouncy ball. She was at some place called Marquette. Lost in some tournament. Happens to the best of ’em, I reckon.
So that’s the story, near as I can tell. Kellie Harper, Virginia Tech, basketball, lots of wins and losses, and a whole lotta money. Just a bunch of folks runnin’ around, throwin’ a ball. Guess it keeps ’em entertained.
