Okay, so I’ve been meaning to check out this place, Snohomish Health and Rehab, for a while now. My grandma’s getting up there in years, and, well, you know how it is. We might need some extra help down the road. So, I figured I’d do some recon.
First, I hit up the internet. You know, just a basic search to see what popped up. I looked at some reviews. Read a few comments. Nothing crazy, just getting a general feel.

Next, I decided to give them a call. Figured I’d ask some basic questions, like what kind of services they offer, what the rooms are like, that sort of thing. The lady on the phone was nice enough. She answered my questions, and gave me some extra info.
Then, I decided, “what the heck?” I would just go and visit. No appointment, just show up and see what’s what. Because I think that’s the best way, you know? Get my own feeling. I drove over there. It’s located at a place where it’s not hard to find.
I walked in, and it was… okay. Not super fancy, but not rundown either. It seemed clean, which is a big one for me. There were some people, residents I think, and they were chatting in the common area. Some of the staff members greeted me when I came in.
I chatted with one of the nurses for a bit. She showed me around a little – a typical room, the dining area, the activity room. It all seemed pretty standard. Nothing really jumped out at me, good or bad.
I also observed the interaction between staff and residents. It seemed…fine. Nobody was yelling or anything, but it also didn’t feel super warm and fuzzy. It’s hard to explain. Just kind of…neutral.
After my little tour, I thanked the nurse and left.
Overall, my impression was… I don’t know, I would say it’s not bad. It’s definitely something I’d keep in mind as an option. It is a choice but I need to do a little more research, check out some other places, and then weigh my * is not a easy job.
