Okay, so, I saw this thing called “Bananas Entertainment” and thought, “What’s that all about?” Turns out, it’s some kind of game, or something. I started digging around, just to see what the fuss was about.
First, I downloaded this “Banana” game on Steam. It’s one of those idle clicker things, where you just click on a picture of a banana. Sounds dumb, right? I clicked around a bit, and honestly, it was pretty boring at first. Just a picture of a banana, nothing fancy.
But then, I found out that this game drops a new banana picture every three hours or something? And people are actually buying and selling these pictures for real money! Can you believe that? I started to see why it was getting popular. It’s like, you can just leave it running in the background while you do other stuff, and potentially make a few bucks. It’s like those old screen savers, but weirder.
Gameplay
- Click on a banana picture.
- Wait for new banana pictures to drop.
- Sell the banana pictures on the Steam market, maybe.
- Repeat.
I spent a few hours clicking away, just to test it out. I got a few different banana pictures. Some were just plain yellow, others had like, different colors or patterns. They didn’t seem worth much, to be honest. But I guess some people are into that kind of thing. Apparently, the game’s popular because of the “bright and colorful graphics” and it’s “easy to play,” which, yeah, I guess that’s true. You just click. Not exactly rocket science.
Then I learned that “Bananas Entertainment” also does music stuff. They work with a bunch of bands in Wisconsin, apparently. That part seemed more interesting to me, but I didn’t really look into it too much. I was more focused on the whole banana-clicking, money-making thing.
So, I tried selling a couple of my banana pictures. Didn’t get much for them, just a few cents. But hey, it’s something, right? I guess if you’re really dedicated, you could potentially make a bit of cash. I don’t think I’ll be quitting my day job anytime soon, but it was a fun little experiment. The whole thing is just kind of silly, but I guess that’s the appeal. It’s like this weird little internet thing that people are getting a kick out of. “Waste your time and maybe convince you to try selling the fruits of your labor” is right.
At last, I uninstalled the game and will never think about this again, unless I want to waste my time.
