So I finally decided to check out this place called Summit Sports Comics & Games after hearing buddies rave about it. Grabbed my wallet and hopped in the car totally blind, zero clue how this store even worked.
First Impressions Outside
Pulled into this massive parking lot thinking it was just another tiny hobby shop. Boy was I wrong. Saw two separate entrances – one labeled “Retail” and one for “Events.” Walked into the retail side feeling kinda intimidated by all the nerdy posters plastered everywhere.

Navigating The Maze Inside
Took me ten minutes just to realize the store has three gigantic sections:
- Sports stuff on the far left with jerseys and signed baseballs
- Comic book paradise smack in the middle with new releases and back issues
- Game chaos zone on the right packed with board games and trading cards
Started wandering through comics first since that’s my jam. Shelves went literally floor to ceiling. Felt overwhelmed until this dude with a green nametag asks “Need help finding anything?” Told him I wanted that new Spider-Man issue and he walked me straight to it. Lifesaver.
The Checkout Surprise
Got to the register with my stack when the cashier asks “Membership number?” Fumbled like an idiot saying “Uh… what membership?” She explained their free rewards program right there. Signed up on this tablet thingy they handed me while she rang up my stuff. Bonus: got 10% off for joining!
Final pro tip: grab one of their printed maps near the entrance. Saved me from getting lost twice. Oh and never pay sticker price for older comics – just ask staff about discount boxes.
