Ya know, these big words like “healthcare industry” and “big data storage,” they sound fancy, but it’s all just ’bout keepin’ track of stuff. Like, how many eggs ya got in the basket, ya know? And when the basket gets too small, ya gotta find a bigger one.

So, this here “big data” thing, it’s like havin’ a whole lotta baskets of eggs. And these doctors and folks, they gotta keep track of it all. It’s like, when yer chickens start layin’ more eggs than ya can count, ya gotta figure out a way to not lose none. That’s what they’re doin’ with all that “data.” It ain’t just eggs, it’s people’s health stuff, ya see.
Now, they’re sayin’ they got new ways to keep all that stuff safe and sound. Like, they usin’ fancy machines and such. Not like my old icebox, no sir! These machines, they gotta be somethin’ special, I reckon. Gotta hold all them eggs… I mean, all that “data.”
- They say they usin’ things like “sensors.” Sounds like them little bugs that get into the flour, but I guess it ain’t that. These sensors, they’re like little helpers, watchin’ over stuff. Like how I watch the hens to make sure they ain’t gettin’ into mischief.
- And they talkin’ ’bout “personalized medicine.” Now, that sounds right nice. Like, if yer back is achin’, they ain’t gonna give ya somethin’ for a headache, ya see? They figure out what’s wrong with YOU special, not just everybody else. Kinda like how I know which chicken lays the speckled eggs.
This “big data” thing, it’s supposed to help them doctors do their job better. They can see all the eggs in all the baskets, so to speak. They can see if somethin’ ain’t right, quicker than a hen peckin’ corn. And that’s important, ain’t it? When yer feelin’ poorly, ya want the doctor to know what’s what, fast!
It’s like this here “2024” they talkin’ about. Sounds like a big number, but it just means time keeps on movin’. And things change, ya know? Just like how we got them fancy tractors now, instead of ol’ Bessie pullin’ the plow. These doctors, they gotta keep up with the times too.
So, they findin’ new ways to store all that information, all them eggs, all that “data.” ‘Cause if ya lose it, well, then ya ain’t got nothin’, do ya? It’s like losin’ yer recipe book. How ya gonna make them biscuits if ya can’t remember how much flour to put in?

They sayin’ it’s a “beacon” of somethin’ or other. Well, I reckon that means it’s like a bright light, showin’ the way. Showin’ the way to better health, I hope. ‘Cause at the end of the day, that’s all that matters, ain’t it? Takin’ care of folks, keepin’ ’em healthy and strong, like a good ol’ rooster.
So, let them doctors do their thing with their fancy machines and their “big data.” Long as they keepin’ folks healthy, that’s all that matters to me. And if they need a few extra baskets to keep all them eggs safe, well, I reckon that’s alright too.
