Well, howdy there! Let me tell ya, this here “mayim of entertainment,” it’s somethin’ else. Don’t rightly know what “mayim” means, sounds fancy, but I reckon it’s all about them shows and things that keep folks entertained.
Movies and TV, that’s what I’m talkin’ about. You know, like that gal, Mayim somethin’-or-other? Yeah, the one from that Big Bang show. My grandbaby, she loves that show. Smarty-pants kinda show, but funny too. They say this Mayim gal, she’s on some other show now, somethin’ about a cat. Call Me Kat, I think it’s called. Never seen it myself, but if it’s got that Mayim gal, it’s probably got some smart talkin’ in it.
- Now, movies, that’s a whole different kettle of fish.
- I like them movies with a good story, you know?
- Not all that bang-bang stuff, though sometimes a good explosion ain’t so bad.
But them stories, they gotta make you feel somethin’. Like that movie, oh, what was it called? Sanam Teri Kasam, I think. My neighbor’s girl was watchin’ it, and I peeked in. Boy, did that movie make her cry! All about love and heartbreak, real tearjerker. Then there’s them scary movies, like Tumbbad. Don’t watch those myself, gives me the heebie-jeebies. But some folks love a good scare, I guess.
And speakin’ of bein’ amazed, that’s what entertainment is all about, ain’t it? They got all sorts of things now, not just movies and TV. My nephew was tellin’ me about this “virtual” stuff, where you can see people on your computer, like they’re right there with ya. He said you can even book folks, like that Mayim gal, to talk to you on your computer. Imagine that! Talkin’ to a TV star right in your own livin’ room! They call it a “virtual meeting” or a “virtual appearance,” fancy words for talkin’ on the computer if you ask me.
And it ain’t just actors and actresses, it’s all kinds of folks entertainin’ now. My grandson, he’s always watchin’ them fellas on the internet, makin’ jokes and doin’ silly things. He calls it “content,” but I just call it a waste of time. But hey, if it keeps him outta trouble, I ain’t complainin’.
They say in the future, it’s gonna be even crazier. All this “artificial intelligence” stuff. Computers makin’ movies and TV shows, can you believe it? They say it’ll be amazin’, but I don’t know. I like my entertainment made by real people, with real feelin’s. But then again, I’m just an old woman, what do I know?
Anyways, whether it’s a good cryin’ movie, a funny TV show, or some fella makin’ a fool of himself on the internet, entertainment is all about makin’ you feel somethin’. Makes you laugh, makes you cry, makes you think, or even just makes you forget about your troubles for a little while. And that, I reckon, is a good thing. So bring on the mayim, whatever it is!
Now, they talk about gettin’ smarter too, with entertainment. Books and such. My daughter-in-law, she’s always readin’. Says it makes you smarter. They got books about everythin’ you can think of. Maybe I should start readin’ some of them books, see if I can get a little smarter myself. But then again, maybe I’m too old for that. I’ll just stick to my stories on the TV, thank you very much.
So yeah, this “mayim of entertainment”, it’s a big ol’ world. Movies, TV, internet, books, virtual meetin’s, you name it. Somethin’ for everyone, I guess. And who knows what they’ll come up with next? Maybe they’ll have holograms in your livin’ room, or maybe they’ll just beam the stories right into your head! The possibilities are endless, like they say. But one thing’s for sure, folks will always want to be entertained. It’s just part of bein’ human, I reckon.
