Okay, so today I decided to check out this place called “Gametime Sports Bar.” I’d heard some good things about their wings and, well, I’m always up for trying new spots.
First, I looked up their address. Easy enough. Then I hopped in my car and drove over. Parking was a bit of a mess, had to circle the block a couple of times before I found a spot. Not the best start, but hey, it happens.
When I walked in, it was pretty much what I expected. Lots of TVs, a big bar, the usual sports bar vibe. I grabbed a seat at the bar and the bartender came over pretty quickly. Nice guy. I ordered a beer and asked for a menu.
They had a decent beer selection, nothing too crazy, but solid choices. I went with a local IPA. While I was waiting, I was checking out the menu. Lots of the standard stuff, burgers, fries, you know. But like I said, I was there for the wings.
The Wings
- They had a bunch of different flavors. I decided to get a dozen, half buffalo, half some kind of garlic parmesan thing.
- It took a little while for the food to come out, maybe 20 minutes? But it was pretty busy, so I wasn’t too surprised.
When the wings finally arrived, they looked pretty good. Decent size, nicely sauced. I dug in. The buffalo ones were solid. Good heat, not too vinegary. The garlic parmesan ones were…okay. A little too much garlic for my taste, but still edible.
Overall, I finished the wings, paid my bill, and headed out. It wasn’t a bad experience, but it wasn’t anything amazing either. The wings were decent, the beer was cold, the service was fine.
I guess that is all about that, I am sure I would give it another shot sometime. Maybe try a burger next time, or, will go back to their wings again.
