Okay, so I’ve been having some trouble with my eyes lately. Nothing major, just some dryness and irritation, especially after staring at screens all day. I figured it was time to get things checked out, so I started looking into “eye health northwest,” since that’s where I am.
Finding a Place
First thing I did was, you know, hit up the search engine. Typed in “eye health northwest” and got a bunch of options. I spent some time looking at reviews and websites.
Making the Appointment
I picked a place that seemed pretty good, decent reviews, and a location I could get to easy. Then, I made a appointment with them.
I tried to use online booking tool for making appointment at first, but always failure, dont know why, maybe there is some bug on the website.
So, I called them up. The person on the phone was super nice, asked me a few questions about what was going on, and got me scheduled for an appointment the next week. Pretty painless, actually.
The Actual Appointment
Went in for my appointment. Filled out some paperwork – you know, the usual stuff about medical history and all that. Then, I got called back, and the eye doctor did a bunch of tests. They used this machine that puffed air into my eye (that was weird!), looked at my eyes with bright lights, and had me read those letter charts.
Getting the Results (and some relief!)
Turns out, I just have some mild dry eye. The doctor gave me some recommendations for eye drops and told me to take more breaks from my computer. She also suggested a “20-20-20” rule: every 20 minutes, look at something 20 feet away for 20 seconds. Makes sense.
What I’ve learned:
- Regular eye check-ups are helpful.
- Eye drops will become my new friends.
- I need to get better at looking away from my screen!
I started using the eye drops and trying to follow that 20-20-20 rule. My eyes feel a bit better already. Hopefully, with a little more effort, I won’t have to deal with this dryness anymore. I will go to see the doctor to check up next week.
