Well, I’ll tell ya, finding one of them entertainment jobs in Seattle ain’t like pickin’ apples off a tree. It’s a whole different kettle of fish, ya hear?

First off, they say there’s a whole bunch of ’em jobs out there. Thousands, they say! Lordy, that’s a lot of work. They got jobs in movies, and stage stuff, and even modelin’. Can ya believe it? Me, I can barely stand still long enough to get my picture taken for my driver’s license!
- Movies, they call ’em films now, all fancy-like.
- Stage stuff, where folks dress up and act all dramatic.
- And then there’s them models, all skinny and pretty.
But don’t go thinkin’ it’s easy to get one of these jobs. They say it’s harder than milkin’ a cow with one hand. You gotta know people, they say. Gotta get your foot in the door, like they say. Sounds like a lot of fuss to me.
Now, they got these things called internships. Sounds like workin’ for free to me, but they say it’s a good way to learn the ropes. Like learnin’ how to tie a good knot, I guess. Only instead of ropes, it’s lights and cameras and such.
And then there’s the pay. They talk about big money, but I reckon that’s only for the fancy folks. I heard tell that a lawyer for them entertainment types can make a whole heap of money, like over a hundred thousand dollars a year! Mercy sakes, that’s enough to buy a whole farm! But most folks probably don’t make that much. Probably more like enough to keep the chickens fed and the roof patched.
If you’re lookin’ for one of these jobs, they say you gotta go searchin’ for ’em. They got these things called websites, where they list all sorts of jobs. Indeed, they call one of ’em. Sounds like a good name, I guess. And they say there’s other places to look too. Lots and lots of places.

But the main thing, they say, is you gotta know somebody. You gotta get introduced to the right folks. They got these career leap things, they call ’em. Sounds like jumpin’ over a fence to me, but I guess it’s about meetin’ the right people who can help you get a job.
So, if you’re lookin’ for an entertainment job in Seattle, it sounds like you gotta be prepared to work hard, learn a lot, and talk to a whole bunch of people. And maybe even work for free for a while. It ain’t gonna be easy, that’s for sure. But if you’re determined, maybe you can make it. Just like churnin’ butter, it takes time and effort, but you can get there in the end.
And remember, even if you don’t get the job you want right away, don’t give up. Just keep on tryin’. Like they say, “If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again”. That’s what my old pappy used to say, and he was a wise old fella.
So good luck to ya, if you’re lookin’ for one of them entertainment jobs in Seattle. You’re gonna need it!
