Okay, here is my sharing about Bellevue underwater sports:
Man, you won’t believe the day I had yesterday! I decided it was time to finally check out this underwater sports thing in Bellevue. I’d heard some folks talking about it, and it sounded pretty cool. So, I geared up and headed over to Underwater Sports in Bellevue. I’d never done anything like this before, so I was a bit nervous, but mostly excited.

First thing I did was sign up for the PADI Open Water Diver course. It’s basically the beginner’s level for scuba diving. There was this instructor, Kirk, who seemed like a real pro. He partnered with Underwater Sports, and he walked us through everything. The first part was all about learning the ropes – you know, how to use the equipment, safety procedures, and all that jazz. We spent some time in a classroom setting, watching videos and going through the manual.
After the classroom stuff, we moved to the pool. This is where things got real. We practiced basic skills like breathing underwater, clearing our masks, and controlling our buoyancy. It was a bit tricky at first, but Kirk was super patient and helpful. He made sure everyone was comfortable before moving on. I gotta say, floating around underwater is a pretty surreal experience. It’s like being in a whole different world.
Then came the exciting part – open water dives! We went to this local spot in Lake Washington. It’s not the ocean, but it’s still pretty amazing to explore the underwater world right here in Bellevue. We did four dives over two days. Each dive was a chance to practice what we learned in the pool and see some cool stuff underwater. We navigated around, checked out the local marine life, and just enjoyed the feeling of being weightless. I even spotted a school of fish swimming by, which was awesome.
By the end of the second day, I was feeling pretty confident. I completed all the required skills and the written exam, and bam! I was a certified PADI Open Water Diver. It felt great to accomplish something new and push myself out of my comfort zone.
- Signing up for the course: This was easy peasy, just a few forms and a quick chat with the staff.
- Classroom learning: A bit of a snooze-fest, but necessary to understand the basics.
- Pool practice: Super fun and a great way to get used to the gear.
- Open water dives: The highlight of the whole experience, definitely worth the effort.
All in all, it was an incredible experience. I’d definitely recommend giving underwater sports a try if you’re in the Bellevue area. It’s a great way to challenge yourself, learn something new, and explore the hidden world beneath the surface. Plus, the folks at Underwater Sports are top-notch and make the whole process super enjoyable. Kirk, if you’re reading this, thanks for being an awesome instructor!
