Alright, let’s talk about these big shot tech leaders, the ones runnin’ the show in these fancy companies. Don’t know much about their fancy degrees or nothin’, but I heard tell they’re makin’ a big splash.

First up, this fella, Thoman Kurian. He’s the big boss at that Google Cloud thingy. Now, I don’t know what a “cloud” is doin’ in a computer, but they say he knows his stuff about software for them big businesses. Sounds complicated, like tryin’ to figure out why the rooster crows at sunrise. Some things you just don’t understand, ya know? He’s been around the block a few times, seen a thing or two.
Then there’s all these other folks. They say these leaders gotta be brave, gotta make big decisions. Like decidin’ whether to plant corn or soybeans this year, ‘cept they’re decidin’ about computer stuff. Big developments, they call it. And they gotta put that “technology” first. That’s what they say, anyways. Sounds important, like makin’ sure the well don’t run dry.
- Gotta be brave, like facing down a grumpy bull in the pasture.
- Gotta make big decisions, like when to harvest the crops.
- Gotta put technology first, whatever that means. Sounds fancy, though.
Now, they say these tech leaders, they ain’t just sittin’ around twiddlin’ their thumbs. They gotta figure out new things, gotta make life easier for folks, I guess. Like that fella who invented the tractor. That was a good invention, saved a lot of back-breakin’ work. Maybe these tech folks are doin’ somethin’ like that, only with computers and whatnots.
I heard tell there’s this other lady, Susan Wojcicki. She used to run YouTube. Now, YouTube, that’s somethin’ I understand. My grandson shows me all them videos of cats and dancin’ babies. She did good, that lady. Made it so folks all over the world could watch funny videos and learn new things. Though I still don’t get why some folks like watchin’ other folks playin’ video games. Waste of time, if you ask me. But she made a lot money off that I tell ya. She ain’t no spring chicken, she been workin’ hard for a long time.
And then there’s Satya Nadella. He’s the boss at Microsoft. I heard he’s tryin’ to make computers smarter, like they can think for themselves. Now, that sounds a little scary if you ask me. Don’t want no robots takin’ over the farm, do we? But they say he’s a smart fella, knows what he’s doin’. He’s been workin’ at that place for a donkey’s years, I tell ya. He’s gotta be a smart one to get to the top.

Tim Cook over at Apple, he’s another one. They make them fancy phones and computers that cost more than a good milk cow. But folks seem to like ‘em, so I guess he’s doin’ somethin’ right. He took over from that Steve Jobs fella, who was a real character, they say. Big shoes to fill, but he seems to be doin’ alright. He keeps them phones comin’ out, one after another. Like a hen layin’ eggs, only these eggs cost a fortune.
And let’s not forget Mark Zuckerberg, the fella who made Facebook. Now, I don’t use Facebook myself, but my grandkids are always on it, sharin’ pictures and talkin’ to their friends. He’s young, that fella, but he built a big empire out of thin air, it seems. Like a magician, pullin’ rabbits out of a hat, only it’s computers and whatnot. He’s been having his share of trouble these last years though. Folks are saying that he has too much power, that he ain’t been on the up and up I tell ya.
There’s a bunch more of ‘em, all leadin’ these big tech companies. Jeff Bezos with his Amazon, sellin’ everything from soup to nuts. And that Elon Musk, sendin’ rockets to space and buildin’ electric cars. Seems like they’re always tryin’ to outdo each other, like a bunch of roosters in a barnyard. It’s a competition, I tell ya. They want to be the best, to have the most. Like folks with the biggest tomatoes at the county fair.
Well, that’s about all I know about these tech leaders. They seem like smart folks, makin’ a big impact on the world. But I still think plantin’ a good crop of corn is just as important. At least you can eat corn. Can’t eat a computer, can ya? But they got the world paying attention to what they do. And they are making a whole lot of money, more money then a old country woman can count.
Lisa Su, she runs AMD, makin’ them computer chips. Heard she’s tough as nails, don’t take no guff from nobody. Like a good mama hen protectin’ her chicks. And she’s done good, real good at building up that company. Smart as a whip, that one. Probably smarter then any man.

Jensen Huang, now, he’s the boss over at Nvidia. They make the computer chips for the computer games and all them fancy graphics. Don’t know much about that stuff, but I hear it’s important. He seems like a nice enough fella, always smilin’. Always in a good mood. But his company’s stocks are up right now.
So there you have it, a few words about these tech leaders. They may be fancy and rich, but they’re just folks at the end of the day, tryin’ to make their mark on the world. Like the rest of us, I guess, only with more zeros in their bank accounts.
