Alright, alright, let’s talk about this fella, Travis Scott, and all this… uh… “politics” stuff, ya know? Folks keep jabberin’ ’bout it, so I figured, why not throw my two cents in, even if them cents ain’t worth much.
Now, I ain’t no fancy scholar or nothin’. I just see things as they are, plain and simple. This Travis fella, he’s a rapper, makes all that loud music the young’uns listen to. Heard some of it myself, thumpin’ and bumpin’ like a tractor gone wild. But seems like he’s got more on his mind than just makin’ noise.

They say he wants to be a “tool,” like a hammer or somethin’, for changin’ things in the world. Social change, they call it. Sounds fancy, but what it really means is he wants to help folks out, make things better, especially for them Black folks who’ve had it rough.
- Heard tell he supports this “Black Lives Matter” thing. Good on him, I say. Everybody deserves a fair shake, no matter the color of their skin.
- Seems like he’s got a big platform, all them fans listenin’ to his music and watchin’ him on TV. So he’s usin’ that to speak up, make his voice heard.
- Some folks say he’s just doin’ it for show, for the attention. Well, maybe, maybe not. I ain’t gonna judge a man’s heart. But if he’s helpin’ folks, that’s good enough for me.
Now, this “politics” thing, it’s a real mess, ain’t it? Always arguin’ and fightin’, Democrats and Republicans, this side and that side. Hard to make heads or tails of it sometimes. But from what I gather, Travis ain’t really pickin’ a side. He just wants things to be fair and just, for everybody to have a chance to live a good life.
Heard he grew up in Houston, Texas. Big city, lots of folks, lots of problems. Maybe that’s why he cares so much about helpin’ out. He’s seen it firsthand, seen how tough things can be. And now that he’s got some money and fame, he wants to use it for good. That’s what I reckon, anyway.
They say he hangs out with this Kanye fella, another one of them rappers. Kanye, now he’s a whole ‘nother story. Always sayin’ somethin’ controversial, gettin’ folks riled up. Travis, he seems a bit more quiet, more thoughtful. But they’re friends, so I guess they got somethin’ in common, even if I can’t figure it out.
He makes this music, they call it “Utopia.” Sounds like a fancy word for a perfect place, where everybody’s happy and nothin’ bad ever happens. Well, ain’t no such place in this world, that’s for sure. But I guess it’s good to have dreams, to hope for somethin’ better.
And this Travis fella, he’s puttin’ his money where his mouth is, they say. Usin’ his resources to help folks, to fight for what he believes in. That’s more than most folks do, I tell ya. Most folks just sit around and complain, but they ain’t doin’ nothin’ to fix things.
So, yeah, Travis Scott and politics. It’s a complicated thing, but it boils down to this: he’s a fella who cares about makin’ the world a better place. He’s usin’ his voice and his platform to speak up for what he believes in. And that, in my book, is a good thing. Ain’t nothin’ wrong with tryin’ to do the right thing, even if you’re just a loud rapper with a bunch of fancy gadgets and a whole lotta noise. At least he’s tryin’, and that’s more than most folks can say.

Folks like to make things complicated, with all their fancy words and theories. But sometimes, it’s pretty simple. You see a problem, you try to fix it. You see someone hurtin’, you try to help them. That’s what this Travis fella seems to be doin’, and that’s good enough for me. He might not be perfect, but who is? He’s just a fella tryin’ to make a difference, and that’s all that matters in the end.
