Alright, let’s gab a bit about these Dave’s Killer Bagels, you know, the ones everyone’s been yappin’ about. Are they healthy? Well, that’s what we’re here to figure out, ain’t it?
First off, they say these bagels got a whole lotta whole grains. Yeah, whole grains, that’s the good stuff, like what my grandma used to make bread with, none of that fancy white flour. They say it’s got 29 grams of it in just one bagel. That sounds like a lot, I reckon. And no high fructose corn syrup, which is good, ’cause that stuff ain’t natural, you know? It’s all chemicals and whatnot.

Now, they also talk about protein, 12 grams they say. Protein’s important, keeps you strong, helps you work hard in the fields, or, well, whatever you do these days. So, that’s a good thing, I guess.
- Lots of whole grains (29g)
- No high fructose corn syrup
- Good amount of protein (12g)
They got all kinds of different bagels, like the “Epic Everything” one. Sounds fancy, huh? It’s got garlic and onion, which I like, makes things taste good. But are they really better than other bagels? They say they are, say they got more fiber and protein than those plain white bread ones. And less sugar too. That’s important, too much sugar ain’t good for ya, makes you all jittery and then you crash.
And get this, they’re “organic” and “Non-GMO”. Organic, that means they didn’t use all them pesticides and chemicals, right? Like how we used to grow things back in the day, before everything got so complicated. Non-GMO, well, that’s good too, I hear. Means they ain’t messin’ with the genes of the plants, keepin’ it natural.
Some folks say the “Epic Everything” bagels are the best, tastiest and healthiest. I guess that makes sense, all them grains and no funny business ingredients. But they also got plain ones, and I reckon those are alright too, though maybe not as much flavor.
Now, someone asked about havin’ these bagels with a protein drink for dinner. Well, I guess that’s alright if you’re in a hurry. But a bagel and a protein drink? That don’t sound like a real meal to me. You need some vegetables, some meat maybe, somethin’ with substance. But hey, if you’re young and busy, I guess it’ll do.
They talk about calories too, 260 they say. That seems like a lot, but I don’t really know much about calories. Back in my day, we just ate until we were full, didn’t count no calories. But I guess it’s something to think about if you’re watchin’ your weight.
So, are they healthy? Well, they seem healthier than them white bread bagels, that’s for sure. More fiber, more protein, less sugar, organic, Non-GMO. Sounds pretty good to me. But remember, a bagel is still a bagel, it ain’t no salad. You gotta eat other good stuff too, fruits and vegetables, and get yourself some exercise. Can’t just eat bagels all day and expect to be healthy, no sir.

And they put somethin’ in there to keep ‘em from gettin’ moldy too fast, somethin’ natural they say, like dried cane syrup and cultured wheat. Well, that’s better than them chemicals they put in other breads, I reckon. Keeps it fresh longer, I guess. But nothin’ stays fresh forever, you know. Just like us, I guess.
So, the bottom line is, if you’re gonna eat a bagel, these Dave’s Killer Bagels seem like a pretty good choice. Just don’t go eatin’ too many, and make sure you eat other healthy stuff too. That’s what I always say: everything in moderation.
And remember, just because it says “healthy” on the package don’t mean you can eat the whole bag! Use your common sense, that’s what the good Lord gave ya.
