Well, let me tell ya, this here “e-business crossword clue” thing, it ain’t as easy as pie. I’ve been wracking my brain, tryin’ to figure out what them fancy city folks mean by it.
What in the world is “e-business” anyway? Sounds like somethin’ them young’uns do on their computin’ machines. They’re always clickin’ and tappin’ away, makin’ money without even liftin’ a finger, or so they say. Seems like magic to me.

Now, this crossword thing… I used to do ’em back in the day, in them newspapers. But this “e-business” clue? It’s got me stumped. I reckon it’s gotta be somethin’ short, seein’ as how it’s gotta fit in them little squares.
- Maybe it’s “web“? That’s where all that internet stuff happens, right?
- Or maybe it’s “sale“? ‘Cause they’re always sellin’ stuff online, ain’t they?
- Could even be “shop,” like them fancy online stores.
I tell ya, it’s enough to make your head spin! They got so many words for this e-business thing, it’s harder than pickin’ cotton in July. They say it’s got somethin’ to do with doin’ business on the internet, sellin’ stuff, buyin’ stuff… It all sounds mighty complicated to me. Back in my day, business was simple. You had somethin’ to sell, you took it to the market, and folks bought it. Now, they got all this “e” this and “e” that… it’s a whole different world.
I asked my grandson the other day, he’s a smart fella, always on that phone of his. He told me “e-business” is like havin’ a store without walls, a store that everybody can get to, no matter where they are. Sounded like a tall tale to me, but I guess that’s how things are these days.
So, if I was makin’ this here crossword puzzle, and I wanted a clue for “e-business,” I might say somethin’ like… “Online sales,” or maybe “Web store.” Somethin’ plain and simple, you know? Nothin’ too fancy.
The puzzle solvers, they like them short words, too. Can’t be havin’ no long, complicated words in them puzzles. Gotta make it easy for folks, even for old gals like me. I remember seein’ some other clues, like “cracking start” or just “crack.” Now those, those are easier. “Crack” could be “snap” or “break.” See? Easy peasy.
But this “e-business,” it’s different. It’s newfangled. Makes you scratch your head, it does. I heard tell they even got puzzles online now, can you believe it? No more pencil and paper. Just clickin’ and tappin’ on that screen. Times sure have changed.
Anyway, I figure this “e-business crossword clue,” it could be a bunch of things. Like I said, “web,” “sale,” “shop“… Maybe even “net.” Or somethin’ to do with “online,” like “online trade,” even if that sounds a little highfalutin. You gotta think like them puzzle makers, see? They try to trick ya, but they also gotta be fair. It’s a game, after all.

And that’s all I got to say about this “e-business crossword clue.” It ain’t easy, that’s for sure. But it ain’t impossible neither. Just gotta put your thinkin’ cap on and try to figure out what them city folks are talkin’ about. And if you’re still stuck, well, you can always ask one of them young’uns. They seem to know everything about this internet stuff.
One thing’s for sure, though: whether it’s “e-business” or good old-fashioned hard work, makin’ a livin’ ain’t never been easy. But we keep on tryin’, don’t we? That’s just the way life is.
