So, I was browsing online the other day, and I stumbled upon this crazy idea for a T-shirt design. It’s called the “Corona Virus World Tour” shirt, and let me tell you, it’s something else. I figured, why not try to make one myself? It sounded like a fun little project.
First things first, I needed a plain T-shirt. I dug through my closet and found an old, cream-colored one that would work perfectly. It was a bit worn, but that just added to the vintage vibe I was going for. Then I thought I should have a cool design, I recalled those vintage band tour shirts. I grabbed some fabric markers and acrylic paints. Time to get creative!

I sketched out a rough design on paper first. I wanted it to look like a concert tour shirt, with “Corona Virus World Tour 2020” written in bold letters at the top. I did some simple drawings, it was just a simple graphic, but it worked for me. Underneath, I listed a bunch of major cities like “New York,” “London,” “Tokyo,” etc., as if the virus was “touring” these places. I know, it’s a bit dark, but I thought it was kind of funny in a weird way.
Once I was happy with the design, I carefully transferred it onto the T-shirt using a pencil. Then, I went over the lines with the fabric markers, making sure the letters were nice and bold. I used the acrylic paints to add some color and details. It was a bit messy, but I was having a blast.
- Sketching: I started by sketching the design on paper.
- Transferring: I transferred the design onto the T-shirt with a pencil.
- Outlining: I outlined the design with fabric markers.
- Painting: I added color and details with acrylic paints.
After a few hours of work, the shirt was finally done. I have to say, it turned out pretty cool. The design was a bit rough around the edges, but that just added to its charm. It looked like a genuine, homemade piece of art. I even added some distressed accents to make it look more vintage, like a shirt you’d find in a thrift store.
I wore the shirt out a couple of times, and people seemed to get a kick out of it. Some laughed, some were confused, but everyone seemed to appreciate the effort. It was definitely a conversation starter. I even thought about selling it, but I decided to keep it for myself as a memento of this crazy project.
Overall, it was a fun and unique experience. I got to be creative, learn a few new things, and end up with a one-of-a-kind T-shirt. Plus, it’s a funny reminder of a strange time in history. If you’re looking for a fun project to do, I highly recommend trying something similar. You might surprise yourself with what you can create!
A few tips if you want to try this yourself:
- Use an old T-shirt: It doesn’t have to be new, and a worn look adds character.
- Keep it simple: You don’t need to be an artist to make a cool design.
- Have fun: Don’t take it too seriously, just enjoy the process.
That’s all about my “Corona Virus World Tour” T-shirt project. It’s not for everyone, but I had a blast making it, and that’s what matters. I hope this inspires you to try something creative too. Peace out!
