So, I heard the news that Care/of, the vitamin company, is shutting down. I was really into their whole thing – you know, the personalized vitamin packs and all that. I decided to dig into it a bit more and see what went wrong.
First, I checked out their website and it was like a ghost town. No new orders, nothing. Then I saw the announcement: “Care/of is closing due to a lack of funding.” Yeah, I found out that they’re canceling all subscriptions starting Monday.

- I started by looking into when they actually started.
- Turns out, Care/of kicked off back in 2016. They had this cool quiz thing to figure out what vitamins you needed. And they were all about the subscription life.
- But somewhere along the way, things got messed up.
So, I did what any curious person would do – I started asking around. Found a few articles, talked to some people who used their service. Turns out, they just ran out of money. It sounds like they had a good idea but maybe not a solid business plan. Not sure about the details here. I think I saw it somewhere that it was due to lack of funding.
What I Realized
It’s a bummer, really. I liked the idea of personalized vitamins. But it’s a good reminder that even cool ideas need a strong foundation to survive. I guess that’s just how the business world goes, right? Anyway, I thought I’d share my little investigation with you all. It’s not every day you see a company like that go under.
I guess I’ll have to find another way to get my vitamin fix. Maybe I’ll just go back to the old-fashioned way – you know, actually talking to a doctor or something. But, hey, at least I got a story out of it, right?
It’s sad to see Care/of go, but it’s also an opportunity to think about how we approach our health and wellness. I guess the only way is to keep learning and adapting.
