Okay, so I wanted to dive into what’s happening in the biotech scene in Bothell, Washington. I’d heard some buzz, so I figured I’d do some digging and see what I could find. It all started with a simple curiosity.
My Little Research Journey
First, I just started Googling. You know, “biotech Bothell WA,” “biotech companies Bothell,” stuff like that. Just casting a wide net to see what would pop up. I wanted to get a feel for the major players and the general vibe of the area.

Then, I started looking at company websites. This is where things got interesting. I was checking out their “About Us” sections, looking at their mission statements, and trying to figure out what they were actually working on. Some were super focused on specific diseases, others were more about developing new technologies.
I also started poking around on job boards. I figured, who’s hiring? What kind of skills are they looking for? That’s a pretty good way to see what’s actually going on in the industry, right? Seeing lots of openings for, say, “research scientist” or “lab technician” tells you something.
What I found. My notes
- Lots of activity:Bothell is not a sleepy city. Many biotech companies.
- Different specializations:I see a lot of diversity in this area.
- Job market seems active: I saw lots of different job openings. Good sign!
Honestly, it’s a lot to take in. I feel like I’ve only scratched the surface, but it’s been a fun little project. Now I got a basic understanding, I can keep my eyes peeled and follow developments more closely. I’m keeping my notes organized, and will keep adding to them as I learn more. This first step was really about getting my bearings and starting to build a picture of what’s going on in Bothell’s biotech world.
