Okay, so I was messing around with the New York Times crossword the other day, and I got totally stumped. The clue was “channel for political junkies,” and I was like, “What the heck?” I mean, I watch the news and all, but I’m not exactly glued to it 24/7.
My First Attempts
So, first, I tried to think of actual TV channels. You know, the usual suspects.

- I wrote down “CNN” first. Too short.
- Then I thought, maybe “MSNBC”? Nope, still not enough letters.
- “FOXNEWS”? Still no dice.
I was starting to get frustrated. I mean, this is supposed to be the mini crossword, right? It shouldn’t be this hard! I even tried some other channels. I thought for a bit and tried “CSPN”, but it seemed not a good fit. Then I began to get some hints.
Getting Hints and Figuring It Out
I started playing around with the letters I did have from the other clues, and finally, it clicked. It wasn’t a regular channel. The solution that fit was “CSPAN”.
The answer wasn’t about a channel I often watched. I guess I need to broaden my horizons a bit, haha! This NYT Crossword puzzle is so cool. I should explore more about the puzzles.
Anyway, it was a fun little puzzle to solve, even though it took me a while to get there. I should definitely play these games more often.
