Well, let me tell you somethin’ about this here Bally Sports news. It’s a real head-scratcher, this whole thing. I heard folks talkin’, sayin’ Bally Sports is changin’. Changin’ to what, you ask? Well, they sayin’ it’s gonna be somethin’ called FanDuel Sports Network now.
I ain’t too sure what that all means, but it sounds like a big deal, don’t it?
Bally Sports Is Changin’
They say Bally Sports, that’s the one that shows all them sports games, you know? Baseball, basketball, hockey, all them. Well, that Bally Sports, it ain’t gonna be called Bally Sports no more. It’s gonna be that FanDuel thing.
I heard some folks sayin’ it’s because of some money troubles. You know how it is, sometimes folks get into a bit of a pickle with money.
- Diamond somethin’ owns Bally Sports. Or used to, anyways.
- This Diamond, it’s part of a bigger thing called Sinclair.
- Now FanDuel, that’s a gamblin’ thing, I think.
Yeah, you heard that right, a gamblin’ thing gettin’ mixed up with sports. I don’t know ’bout all that, seems kinda strange to me. But hey, what do I know? I’m just sayin’ what I heard.
What’s This FanDuel Thing?
This FanDuel Sports Network, I reckon it’s gonna be showin’ the same games as before. So if you like watchin’ your teams, you probably can still watch ’em. I hope so, anyway.
I heard some folks say you gotta pay to watch these games now. It ain’t free, like it used to be. That don’t seem right, does it?
But I guess that’s how things are these days.
- You can’t watch Bally Sports for free, no sir.
- They got these fancy things now, you can watch on your phone or computer, not the cable TV.
- They say it’s for MLB, NBA, NHL, and even WNBA games. That’s a lot of letters, ain’t it?
Teams Affected by Bally Sports News
Now, they sayin’ a whole bunch of teams are gonna be on this new FanDuel Sports Network. I don’t know all the teams, but I heard some big names. You know, the ones you always see on TV.
I heard somethin’ about 30 teams from all them different sports. That’s a lot of teams, ain’t it?
They sayin’ this Diamond thing, that owns Bally, well, they in charge of showin’ all these local games.
Local games, that’s the ones near you, I think.
What Else is New with Bally Sports News?
I think they call it RSN, regional sports network, this whole Bally Sports, or what used to be Bally Sports thing. What it means now for us folks, I’m not so sure. It’s hard to keep up with all these changes.
I hear folks talk about how hard it is to watch your teams these days. All these different channels, and payin’ for this and payin’ for that. It’s all a mess. I just hope they keep showin’ the games somewhere, that’s all I care about. Maybe it will all be better, who knows. I’ve seen a lot of things change in my time, and sometimes, things work out just fine. It is hard to say.
I think that Diamond thing and FanDuel they got a deal now. They say it is all offical. That should mean something good, I hope.
I do not know much about business, but I know one thing, people love to watch sports. And if this FanDuel Sports Network makes it so folks can watch their teams, then maybe it is a good thing. Time will tell, I guess. Time always tells. Only thing I can say for sure is I hope you can watch your games. That is what matters the most, ain’t it?
And the name, Bally Sports, it just seems to be gone. Just like that. It is hard to imagine, it has been around for so long. But that is how things go I guess, nothing lasts forever.
I guess we will all just have to wait and see what happens next. That is all we can do. Wait and see.
