Okay, so today I decided to mess around with “ASL Entertainment,” and let me tell you, it was a bit of a journey. It all started with a simple idea: I wanted to explore what this whole “ASL Entertainment” thing was all about.
First Steps: Figuring Out What It Is
First, I googled it. I mean, where else do you start, right? I found a few different things, some videos, some websites. It looked like it had something to do with American Sign Language and, well, entertainment. That was the simple thing.

Getting My Hands Dirty
I wanted to try and something fun. so I decided to check some video.
- Clicked on a video that looked interesting. It was a short film, entirely in ASL.
- Watched it through. Honestly, I don’t know much ASL, but it was still pretty captivating. The expressions, the movements… it was all very expressive.
- Tried to follow along with some of the signs. I even paused a few times to try and copy them. It was harder than it looked!
Digging Deeper
After the video, I felt like I needed to understand more. So I went back to searching and found some websites that offered ASL lessons.
- I browsed through a couple of the lesson plans. They had basic signs, like greetings and common phrases.
- Tried a few of the online exercises. It was actually kind of fun, like learning a new dance or something.
The Outcome?
So, what did I get done, at the end? Well, I didn’t become fluent in ASL, that’s for sure. But I definitely gained a new appreciation for it. Also I realized that I just start to do something.I think I’ll keep practicing. It’s a beautiful language, and it’s pretty cool to see how it can be used in creative ways, like in those films and * was a fun little experiment, and I’m glad I took the time to do it. Might even try to learn a few more signs tomorrow!
