Okay, here is my sharing about renting a business space in Seattle.
Man, finding a good business space in Seattle was a real pain in the neck! I mean, I started this whole thing thinking it would be a piece of cake. Boy, was I wrong!

First, I spent like a whole week just scrolling through online listings. I used some of websites, you know the ones. Filtered by price, size, location, all that jazz. My eyes were practically glued to the screen. Found a few that seemed okay, but nothing that really jumped out at me.
Next, I started calling around, setting up appointments to see these places in person. Drove all over Seattle – from downtown to, man, I don’t even remember all the neighborhoods. Traffic was a nightmare, parking was a joke. Got lost more times than I care to admit.
- One place was way too small. I mean, you could barely turn around in it.
- Another one was in a super sketchy area. Definitely not a place I’d want my customers to come.
- Then there was this one that was just… weird. The layout was all messed up, and it smelled funny. No way!
I was about ready to give up. I mean, I was seriously considering just working out of my basement forever. But then, I stumbled upon this listing for a place in Ballard. It looked pretty good in the pictures, and the price was right.
So, I went to check it out. Walked in, and bam! This was it. Perfect size, great location, lots of natural light. Talked to the landlord, a real nice guy. Negotiated the lease terms, signed the papers and moved in to the place that week. It was like a huge weight off my shoulders. Now i do my business here, things are going pretty well now!
Looking back, it was a tough process, but I learned a lot. I guess the key is to be patient, do your research, and don’t settle for something that’s not right. And maybe invest in a good GPS, haha!
