Alright so I’ve been wanting to try this new spot Danns Sports & Entertainment Restaurant that opened downtown. Everyone’s been talking about their crazy screens and games. But I don’t like wasting time, so figured I’d actually research practical stuff before heading over.
First I Actually Called Them
Grabbed my phone Tuesday afternoon and called the number I found. Phone rang like fifteen times – thought they wouldn’t pick up. Finally some guy answered sounding rushed.

Me: “Yo what’s your closing time tonight?”
Him: “11pm weeknights bro but weekends we go till 2am.”
Me: “2am? Damn okay. Cover charge for big games?”
Him: “Nah no cover ever but groups bigger than six gotta reserve”
Drove Over On Thursday
Showed up around 7pm thinking it’d be dead. Parking lot was already packed – had to park two blocks away. Walked in and bam – wall-to-wall people.
- Big sign saying “HEIGHT REQUIREMENT FOR VR ZONE: 48 INCHES MINIMUM”
- Bartender shouting “LAST KITCHEN ORDER 10:45PM ON WEEKDAYS!”
- Saw some disappointed dad walking out because they wouldn’t seat his group without reservation
Friday Night Experience
Went back Friday at 10:30pm with three buddies. Different vibe completely:

- Insane energy – DJ playing, spotlights everywhere
- Server warned us: “Kitchen closes in 15 minutes if y’all wanna eat!”
- Bouncers checking IDs hardcore – saw them kick out two fake IDs
- Stayed till closing at 2am – they started flashing lights at 1:30am as warning
What I Wish I Knew Earlier
- Their “opening time” doesn’t mean anything – half the games don’t start till like 6pm even though doors open earlier
- Happy hour is trash – only applies to basic beers and only at the main bar not tables
- They close randomly for private events – almost drove there one Tuesday before finding their Insta post saying “CLOSED FOR UFC STAFF PARTY”
Bottom line – show up after 8pm with reservations, park across the street at the garage, and absolutely don’t bring kids near closing time. Place turns into straight party mode. Cool spot but you gotta know the rules or you’ll waste half your night.
