So I wanted to find out how Virginia Tech vs. Georgia Tech scored today, you know, because my buddy’s a huge fan and we made a bet over beer last night. I just had to know who won before our evening chat.
Getting Started
First thing this morning, I grabbed my phone and opened the web browser. Typed in “Virginia Tech Georgia Tech score today” like a regular dude would. But man, it threw back a bunch of ads and old articles from last season. Annoying as heck. I clicked on a couple of links, thinking they’d show the latest, but nope—wrong scores. Waste of five minutes.

Trying Different Spots
Then I figured I’d try sports apps. I use one on my phone, so I tapped it open and scrolled through the college football section. Searched for the teams, but the dang thing didn’t update fast enough. Still nothing for today’s game. I started sweating a bit ’cause time was ticking and I needed to share this in my blog post soon.
So I switched to another approach. Pulled up my tablet and went to a sports site I trust. But even there, the page loaded slow, like it was crawling. I refreshed like ten times, muttering “come on, come on.” Finally, after a bit, the live scores popped up. It showed Virginia Tech: 24 and Georgia Tech: 21. Done deal.
Wrapping It Up
With the score in hand, I texted my buddy the result. He’s a Virginia Tech grad, so he went wild and owes me that beer now. Funny thing is, this whole hunt reminded me of last year when I bet on a game wrong and lost twenty bucks. Had to skip coffee for a week! Now I triple-check everything, haha. Anyway, that’s how I found today’s final score—after a bit of fumbling around.
