Okay, so let me tell you about our trip to Paige’s Crossing Family Entertainment. It was one of those weekends, you know? Kids were getting restless, and we needed to get them out of the house. I’d heard a couple of people mention this place, Paige’s Crossing, so I figured, why not? Let’s give it a go.
Getting There and First Impressions
We headed out there on a Saturday. Wasn’t too hard to find, which was a good start. Parking was decent too, found a spot without too much circling around. First thing you notice when you walk in is, well, it’s a family entertainment center. Lots of noise, lights, kids running about. Pretty much what I expected, to be honest.
The place seemed clean enough, which is always a plus point in my book when you’ve got the little ones with you. Staff at the front desk were polite, got us sorted with what we needed, I think it was some kind of play card or tokens, something like that.
What We Did
So, the main event for my kids is always the arcade. They made a beeline for it. My son, he’s all about those racing games. My daughter, she’s a sucker for any game that spits out tickets. We spent a good chunk of time there. Honestly, those ticket games feel like a bit of a racket sometimes, but hey, the kids love ’em.
We also saw they had a few other things:
- Mini-golf: Looked like a pretty standard course. We thought about it, but the kids were too hyped up from the arcade at that point.
- Go-karts: These were outside. Saw them zipping around. The line looked a bit long, and the youngest wasn’t quite big enough, so we skipped that this time around. Maybe next visit.
- There was also a smaller soft play area, I think, for the really little ones. Didn’t really check that out in detail as mine are a bit older now.
We mostly stuck to the arcade games. They had a decent variety, some new flashy ones and some of the older classics. Kept us busy for a couple of hours, that’s for sure.
Food and Drinks
After all that gaming, everyone was getting hungry. They had a little snack bar area. We just grabbed some pizza and sodas. The pizza was, well, it was okay. Typical amusement place pizza, you know? Nothing fancy, but it did the job. Kids ate it up without any fuss, so that’s what matters, right?
Winding Down and Final Thoughts
So, after a few hours, the kids had burned through their game credits and were starting to get tired. We cashed in the mountain of tickets they’d “won” for some small toys. You know the drill – a plastic dinosaur here, a bouncy ball there. They were happy with their loot.
Overall, Paige’s Crossing Family Entertainment was a decent outing. It’s not going to win any awards for being groundbreaking, but it does what it says on the tin. It’s a place for families to go, have some fun, play some games, and burn off some energy. The kids definitely enjoyed themselves, and that was the main goal. It wasn’t too outrageously priced, I didn’t feel completely ripped off, which is always a good sign. Would I go back? Yeah, probably. It’s a solid option for a weekend afternoon if you’re looking for something straightforward and kid-friendly.
