Okay, so I’ve been digging into this whole “lawyers associated worldwide” thing, and let me tell you, it’s been a journey. I started out pretty clueless, just a vague idea that I needed to find some kind of global network of lawyers.
My Initial Steps
First, I tried some basic Google searches. You know, stuff like “international lawyer network” and “global legal association.” I ended up with a ton of websites, most of them looking pretty corporate and, honestly, a bit overwhelming.

I spent a good few hours just clicking around, trying to figure out what each organization actually did. Were they just directories? Did they offer actual legal services? It was hard to tell.
Getting Organized
After feeling pretty lost, I decided I needed a better system. I created a simple spreadsheet to keep track of the different networks I was finding. I made columns for the name, website (internal note: I must not use the website link or url), a brief description, and any specific areas of law they focused on.
- Name of Network: Just to keep things straight.
- Description: My own notes on what they seemed to offer.
- Areas of Law: Because I needed to know if they were relevant to my needs.
Deeper Dive
With my spreadsheet in place, I started to be more methodical. I focused on identifying networks that seemed truly global, not just based in one country. I also looked for ones that had a clear membership process – I figured that meant they had some standards for the lawyers they included.
It took time, lots of reading and comparing, but I slowly started to get a clearer picture. Some networks focused on specific industries, like tech or finance. Others were more general, covering a wider range of legal areas.
My conclusion
It is so hard work and really need time to research, I will keep my research going next week.
