Alright, so I decided to check out this West Coast Conference thing. I’d heard some buzz about it, and figured, why not? Let’s see what it’s all about.
First things first, I registered. It had online registeration and the whole process was pretty smooth. Filled out the forms, paid the fee, and boom, I was in. I was wondering if I could register on site, I might have to do some searching.

Next up, I had to actually, you know, get there. I looked up the venue. After finding the location, I booked my flights and found a decent hotel nearby. It was little bit costy, I perfer staying at a cheaper hotel.
Once I arrived, the whole thing was pretty well-organized. I picked up my badge – no long lines, thankfully! I was wondering if there is any famous speaker that I reconize.
The Sessions Begin
I started hitting up some of the sessions. Some were really interesting, with speakers who knew their stuff and kept things engaging. Others, well, let’s just say I might’ve checked my email a few times. It happens, right?
- One talk about new marketing strategies really caught my attention. I scribbled down tons of notes.
- There was a workshop on team building that was surprisingly fun. We did some activities, and I actually met a few cool people.
- And yeah, there was that one presentation that was basically an hour-long sales pitch. I bailed on that one pretty quick.
Networking Part
The best part, honestly, was the networking. I chatted with people during coffee breaks, swapped business cards (do people still do that?), and even grabbed drinks with a few folks after the sessions. I made some solid connections, and who knows, maybe they’ll lead to something down the road.
Overall, I’d say the West Coast Conference was worth it. I learned some new things, met some interesting people, and got a change of scenery. Would I go again? Yeah, probably. But maybe I’d be a bit more selective about which sessions I attend next time. You live and learn, right?
