You know what? I’ve been on this fitness kick lately, trying to stay hydrated and all that jazz. So, I figured I’d give those Gameplan sports drinks a shot. I mean, they’re everywhere, right? And with all the different flavors they’ve got, I thought, why not?
So, I went ahead and grabbed a few bottles from the store. I’m not gonna lie, the Mixed Berry one caught my eye first. I mean, who doesn’t love a good berry mix? I also picked up the Fruit Punch and Lemon Lime flavors, just to have some variety. They were all in those 20 oz bottles, which is a decent size, I guess.

Trying Them Out
First up was the Mixed Berry. I took a big swig after a workout, and it was… okay. I mean, it wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t anything special either. It tasted like a regular berry-flavored drink, nothing too exciting. It did quench my thirst, though, so I guess it did its job.
Next, I tried the Fruit Punch. Now, this one was a bit sweeter than the Mixed Berry. It reminded me of those fruit punch drinks I used to have as a kid. It was alright, but again, nothing to write home about.
Last but not least, I gave the Lemon Lime a go. This one was probably my favorite of the bunch. It had that classic lemon-lime flavor that you expect from a sports drink. It was refreshing and not too sweet, which I appreciated.
My Thoughts
Overall, I’d say these Gameplan sports drinks are just… fine. They’re not bad, but they’re not amazing either. They do a decent job of hydrating you, and they come in a bunch of flavors, so that’s a plus.
- Pros:
- They do hydrate you.
- Lots of flavors to choose from like Mixed Berry, Fruit Punch, Lemon Lime, etc.
- Readily available in most stores.
- They come in a pretty convenient 20 oz bottle.
- Cons:
- The flavors are not really mind-blowing.
- They are just your average, run-of-the-mill sports drinks.
Would I buy them again? Maybe, if I’m in a pinch and need something to quench my thirst. But I wouldn’t go out of my way to get them. There are probably better options out there, but for a quick and easy hydration solution, these will do. They’re just your average, everyday sports drinks, nothing more, nothing less. Oh, and they mentioned something about a loyalty rewards program where you get 20 points for buying a bottle but honestly, I didn’t look too much into it. Maybe it’s worth it if you’re really into these drinks, but I’m not that invested.
One more thing, I saw that they have a 24-pack of these, which might be good if you’re planning a big event or something, especially on a hot day. But for just regular, everyday use, the individual bottles are probably fine.
