So, I wanted to share this thing I’ve been messing around with, it’s called “WhatsApp Business.” Yeah, I know, sounds kinda formal, but stick with me here. Basically, I got this idea to try and use it to, you know, boost my little side gig.
First thing I did was grab my phone and download this WhatsApp Business app. It’s free, so that’s a plus. It looks pretty much like regular WhatsApp, but it’s got some extra bells and whistles for, well, business stuff.

After I installed it, I had to set up my profile. This is where it gets a bit different from your usual WhatsApp. I put in my business name, a short description of what I do, my working hours, and my location. Basically, all the info someone might need if they stumbled upon my profile. This profile part was kind of a lot of work compared to the normal WhatsApp account.
- Download the app (easy, free)
- Set up a business profile (took some time)
- Explore features (still figuring this one out)
Then, I started playing around with the features. There’s this thing where you can create a catalog of your products or services. I tried adding a few of mine, and it was pretty straightforward. I just had to upload some pictures, add descriptions, and prices. It’s like having a mini-store right there in WhatsApp.
Setting up automatic messages.
Another cool thing is the automated messaging. You can set up a greeting message for new customers, an away message for when you’re not available, and even quick replies for frequently asked questions. I spent a good chunk of time crafting these messages, trying to make them sound friendly and professional at the same time.
The last thing is, I started adding my contacts who I thought might be interested in my services to my WhatsApp Business. I’m still figuring out the best way to promote my stuff without being too spammy. It’s a fine line, you know? But hey, I did try sending messages to customers.
Honestly, it’s been a bit of a learning curve, but it’s interesting to see how this app can help small businesses like mine. I’m still experimenting with different things, but so far, it seems pretty promising. I thought this might be helpful to someone else out there who’s looking for ways to, you know, get their business out there a bit more.
I will keep going and try more things about it.
