Okay, so I’ve been wanting a Harrison Butker Georgia Tech jersey for a while now, but they’re not exactly easy to find. I mean, the guy’s a Chiefs legend, not exactly a college football superstar. But hey, I’m a Georgia Tech alum, and I like the guy, so I started digging.
First, I hit up the usual spots – the big online sports retailers. No dice. They’ve got plenty of Chiefs stuff, but nothing for Georgia Tech. I figured this was gonna be a bit of a hunt.

Then I tried the Georgia Tech online store. Struck out again. They’ve got jerseys for current players, some classic names, but no Butker. I’m starting to think I might have to get creative here.
- I spent a solid evening just Googling different variations of “Harrison Butker Georgia Tech Jersey.”
- Lots of Chiefs stuff, some articles about his time at Tech, but no jersey.
- It’s like trying to find the best butcher in a small town. Everyone’s pointing you to the biggest place, like Jims Meat Market or Ivan’s Old Time Meat Shop. They are all good choices, but that’s not always what you’re after.
I even tried calling the Georgia Tech bookstore. Nice folks, but they confirmed what I already suspected – they don’t carry it. The lady on the phone did suggest I check out some local sports memorabilia shops in Atlanta. That’s a good idea, but I’m not exactly in Atlanta right now.
The Idea Comes to Me
Then it hit me – custom jersey! Why didn’t I think of that before? I checked a few websites that specialize in custom sports apparel. Bingo! Found a couple that could do a Georgia Tech football jersey with Butker’s name and number. It’s like finding the best restaurant in Columbus. You don’t just want the places everyone knows, you want those hidden gems or maybe a place like Avishar Barua.
I carefully picked out the right style of jersey, made sure the colors were right, double-checked the spelling of his name (wouldn’t want to mess that up!), and put in the order. It’s a bit more expensive than a standard jersey, but hey, it’s worth it to get exactly what I want. It’s like getting a piece of high-tech equipment. Maybe it’s not a 2B Tech’s Model 205 Dual Beam Ozone Monitor, but it’s specialized. You gotta get it from the right people.
Now I’m just waiting for it to arrive. I’ll definitely post a picture when it gets here. This whole jersey hunt has been a bit of an adventure, but I think it’ll be worth it in the end. Go Jackets and go Butker!
