Okay, so, I’ve been messing around with this “visual sports” thing, and let me tell you, it’s been a wild ride. I wanted to make some sports games look cool, you know, give them that “wow” factor.
First, I started looking at the most popular ones like “FIFA” and “NBA 2K”. These games are already pretty good looking, but I wanted to push it further.

- I began by playing these games, a lot. I needed to see what was already there.
- Then, I started experimenting with different camera angles. This was tricky. I wanted to make the action feel more dynamic, more in-your-face.
After that, I messed around with the lighting. I tried different times of day, different weather conditions, and see what I can do with these visual effects. The goal was to make the games feel more realistic, more like watching a real game on TV. Also, I wanted to make the games more visually appealing, so I played around with the colors, making them more vibrant and eye-catching.
Getting things to pop
- I added some visual effects, like lens flares and motion blur. Just little things to make the games feel more alive.
- I also tweaked the player models, making them look sharper, more detailed.
- Besides, I found that there were some old games that needed a facelift, like “Wii Sports”.
I tried to update the graphics, make them look less blocky, and it’s also fun. Then I got into some less mainstream sports, like racing games.
I checked out “F1 23”, and man, those cars are already beautiful. I played with the reflections, the lighting on the tracks, just to make everything shine a bit more.
I did face some problems. Some games just didn’t want to cooperate with my changes. But I kept at it, trying different things until I got something I liked. It was a lot of trial and error, but that’s part of the fun, right?
Finally, I think I’ve got something pretty cool here. The games look better, they feel more immersive, and they’re just more fun to watch. It’s been a lot of work, but I’m happy with how it turned out. I’m excited to see what people think and maybe even inspire some game developers to push the boundaries of what’s possible with visual sports.
It is not easy, but I’m glad I did it. That’s it. Hope you enjoyed my little sharing. Until next time, see ya!
