Okay, so, I was messing around online the other day, and I came across this crossword puzzle. It was in the LA Times, I think. One of the clues was “Washington University’s business school,” and I was totally stumped. I mean, I don’t usually do crosswords, but this one was bugging me.
I stared at it for a good while, trying to think of any business schools I knew. Nothing. Then I tried to figure out, you know, what kind of word it could be, how many letters, any hints in the other clues. Nope, still nothing. I even tried a few random words I thought might fit, just guessing, but that didn’t work either.
So, I decided to take a break. Went to grab a coffee, scrolled through my phone a bit, and then it hit me. Maybe I could just search for the answer online! Yeah, I know, cheating, but I was desperate, haha.
- First, I just typed the whole clue into the search bar.
- I got a bunch of results, mostly crossword solver sites.
- I started clicking through them, hoping to find the answer quickly.
Most of the sites had similar information. They all said the clue had been seen recently, like on April 19th, 2024, in the LA Times crossword. And they all pointed to the same answer, a four-letter word.
The Big Reveal
After looking at a few different pages, I finally found it. The answer was right there: OLIN. Apparently, it’s the name of the business school at Washington University. Who knew? Definitely not me! It was a total “aha!” moment, even though I had to look it up.
Anyway, I plugged OLIN into the crossword, and it fit perfectly. Felt pretty good to finally solve that one, even if I did get a little help from the internet. I might even try another crossword sometime, now that I know there are places to find answers if I get really stuck again. But, shhh, don’t tell anyone my secret, okay? It was really just a fun little puzzle-solving adventure for me.
