Alright, so I’ve been on the hunt for some entertainment jobs in Seattle lately. You know, just browsing around, seeing what’s out there. And let me tell you, it’s been quite a journey!
First, I started with the usual suspect, *. I just typed “entertainment jobs Seattle” into the search bar and hit enter. Boom! A whole bunch of listings popped up. I saw everything from host and hostess gigs to office assistant positions and even some director roles. There were hundreds, 177 to be exact, according to the site. It was a bit overwhelming, to be honest.

Then I decided to broaden my search. I figured, why not check out some other sites? I stumbled upon some resources specifically for entertainment jobs in the Seattle area. These were more focused, you know? They listed jobs in film, TV, production, streaming media, video games, theater, and movies. That was more like it! I found around 40 or so listings that seemed pretty promising.
But I didn’t stop there. I went back to * and refined my search. I started looking at more specific roles. I saw listings for area supervisors, photojournalists, and even some medical roles like urogynecologists, though I’m not sure how those got mixed in there. There were over 500 jobs available this time, which was a lot to sift through.
Networking
After that, I thought about my network. I reached out to some folks I know in the industry, just to see if they had any leads. A few people got back to me with some suggestions, which was super helpful.
- One friend told me about some openings at a local theater company.
- Another connected me with someone at a video game studio.
I also checked out LinkedIn. I searched for “entertainment jobs” in Seattle and found over 1,000 results. I browsed through the listings and connected with a few people who worked at companies I was interested in. It was a bit of a long shot, but hey, you never know.
I even looked at some general job boards, just to see if anything caught my eye. I saw more listings for stagehands, models, and executive assistants. There were a couple hundred more jobs on * alone. Plus, I found around 100 “entertainment industry” jobs and almost 100 “entertainment careers” jobs on LinkedIn. Crazy, right?
In the end, I realized that Seattle’s got a pretty good job market, especially in tech, information, and communication. I mean, it’s home to big companies like Microsoft, Amazon, and Expedia. So, even though I was looking for entertainment jobs, I figured it wouldn’t hurt to keep my options open.
It’s been a lot of work, but I’m feeling pretty good about it. I’ve applied to a few places, and I’m keeping my fingers crossed. Who knows what will happen? But one thing’s for sure: I’m not giving up! This job hunt has been a wild ride, but it’s also been a great learning experience.
