Okay, so, I’ve been needing some new furniture for a while now. My couch is practically ancient, and the dining room table has seen better days. But, you know, furniture can be pretty darn expensive. So, I started looking around for some deals, and that’s when I had this idea: what about stores that are going out of business? They gotta get rid of their stuff, right?
So, I started my hunt. I looked on the web for “furniture stores going out of business sale near me”. I saw a bunch of stuff pop up. I knew that Quicklotz was one of the big names in liquidation sales. They’ve been around, and from what I’d heard, they usually have some good finds. But I also saw that Big Lots was closing all its stores. That seemed like a big deal.

I checked out Big Lots’ website first, and sure enough, they had a massive sale going on. We’re talking up to 50% off on all kinds of things! Furniture, stuff for the patio and garden, even mattresses and things for kids and pets. It was like a goldmine for someone like me who’s trying to furnish a place on a budget.
I also found out that Big Lots had some kind of deal with a company called Nexus Capital Management, but it fell through, and now they’re just closing everything down. That explains the big sale, I guess.
Another place I looked into was Rooms To Go Outlet. They always have discounts on furniture, and they have warehouse items and weekly specials. I figured it was worth a shot. I was also thinking about Black Friday. That’s when you can get the best deals in a lot of stores. Maybe I could find some even bigger discounts then.
I made a list of all the stores I wanted to check out and planned my route. I decided to hit up the Big Lots first since their sale seemed the most urgent. Then I’d swing by the Rooms To Go Outlet and see what they had. And, of course, I’d keep an eye out for any other stores that might be having sales.
- Hit up Big Lots for their going-out-of-business sale.
- Check out Rooms To Go Outlet for discounts.
- Look for other stores with potential sales.
- Consider waiting for Black Friday for bigger discounts.
I’m pretty excited about this little furniture hunt. Hopefully, I can score some great deals and finally get my place looking the way I want it. Fingers crossed!
