So, I went to Outback Steakhouse the other day. I really love their food, but I’m trying to eat healthier these days. I thought, “Can I actually eat healthy at a steakhouse?” Turns out, you totally can!
First off, I did a little digging online before I went. I saw that a dietitian had actually picked out some of the healthiest items on their menu. That was super helpful. I also found out that some of the menu items are different depending on where you are, so that’s something to keep in mind.

When I got there, I took a good look at the menu. They have tons of options, like juicy steaks, fresh seafood, and grilled chicken. You can mix and match stuff to make a healthy meal. I decided to go for something grilled because I read that’s usually a healthier choice.
I ended up ordering the grilled chicken. They had shrimp with BBQ sauce, but I went with plain grilled chicken this time. I also noticed they had Seared Peppered Ahi on the menu, which sounded interesting. Maybe next time!
- I also saw some people mention that Outback might use MSG in their food. I’m not sure if that’s true, but it’s something I’ll look into more.
- I want to find out more about their delivery and pick-up.
- And I love those rolls they have!
Overall, I was pretty happy with my meal. It was tasty and I felt good knowing I made a healthier choice. If you’re trying to eat healthy, don’t be afraid to go to Outback Steakhouse. Just do a little research beforehand and you’ll be good to go!
Next steps for me:
- First, learn more about msg’s influence, which is important.
- Second, check whether all branches sell those delicious rolls.
