Okay, so the other day I got this wild idea – I decided I was going to build the world’s biggest snowman. I mean, why not, right? We had a ton of snow coming down, and I figured it was the perfect opportunity to do something epic.
First things first, I needed to find the right spot. I walked around my yard for a bit, looking for a flat area that was also visible from the street. I mean, what’s the point of building a giant snowman if nobody can see it? I finally settled on a spot right in front of my house, and the adventure began.

- The snow was perfect – you know, that kind that’s just above freezing? It was ideal for packing.
- I started rolling a small snowball, then I pushed it around the yard, watching it grow bigger and bigger.
- It was tough work, let me tell you. That ball got heavy fast!
I managed to get three balls rolled out – one huge one for the base, a medium one for the middle, and a smaller one for the head. I remembered reading somewhere that you want a 3:2:1 size ratio for the best stability. Sounded about right, so I went with it. Before stacking them, I flattened the top of each ball a bit to make sure they’d sit nicely on top of each other. Getting the middle ball onto the base was a real workout – I probably should have hit the gym more often!
Finally, I hoisted the head on top, and there it stood – my giant snowman. I stepped back to admire my work. It wasn’t exactly 124.8 feet tall like that one in Austria, but it was definitely the biggest snowman on the block. I even found some old stuff around the house to decorate it – an old hat, a scarf, some rocks for the eyes and mouth. It looked pretty awesome, if I do say so myself!
It was a lot of fun, and honestly, a pretty good workout too. Plus, it was a great way to enjoy the snowy weather. If you’ve got a bunch of snow and some free time, I totally recommend giving it a try. Who knows, maybe you’ll break a world record!
