Alright, listen up, y’all. Let’s talk about this Seattle sports thing, ya know, like them fellas runnin’ around with balls and sticks and such. I ain’t no expert, mind you, but I hear things, see things on that there TV, and I got me some opinions, strong ones too!
First off, this Seattle Sports, they got all sorts of teams. Them Seattle Seahawks, they play that football, tough game, lots of hittin’. Then you got the Seattle Mariners, baseball fellas, swingin’ them bats, tryin’ to hit that little white ball outta the park. And don’t forget them Seattle Kraken, hockey boys, skatin’ around on ice, fast as lightning, puck flyin’ everywhere. Heard they got a soccer team too, Seattle Sounders, and them women, Seattle Reign, they kick the ball pretty good too. Lot of teams, keeps folks busy, that’s for sure.
Now, about them Seahawks. Folks get real riled up about them. Always talkin’ ’bout the quarterback, defense, offense, all that fancy talk. I just wanna see ’em win, ya know? Don’t care how they do it, just get that ball across that line and score. They was sayin’ somethin’ ’bout the defense doin’ real good lately, shut down that Arizona team, 16 to 6. And that fella, Abraham Lucas, he’s back and lookin’ strong. Good, we need strong fellas, ain’t no room for weaklings in football, that’s what I say.

Then there’s the Mariners. Baseball, now that’s a game that takes a while. Lots of standin’ around, spittin’, adjustin’ themselves. But when they hit that ball, boy, it goes far. Heard they got a new fella, young kid, supposed to be real good. Hope so, we need all the good players we can get. They need to score more runs, simple as that. Too much standin’ around, not enough runnin’.
And them hockey fellas, the Kraken, they’re somethin’ else. Skatin’ so fast, bangin’ into each other, that puck whizzin’ around, hard to keep track of it all. But it’s excitin’, I’ll give ‘em that. They got that new arena, downtown, I hear. Fancy place, probably costs a pretty penny to get in there. But folks seem to like it, always talkin’ ’bout the games, the fights, the goals. Good for them, keeps ‘em outta trouble, I guess.
This Seattle Sports 710, that’s where folks get their news, I reckon. They talk about all the teams, give you the scores, the gossip, who’s playin’ well, who’s hurtin’. Mike Salk and Stacy Rost, they’re on there, folks seem to like listenin’ to them. They got the play-by-play too, for the Seahawks and Mariners and even them Washington State Cougars. I don’t listen much myself, rather watch the games on TV, but some folks, they like to listen while they’re drivin’ or workin’. To each their own, I say.
And Seattle, it’s a good city for sports, I hear. Got all them stadiums right there, easy to get to, by bus or train or even walkin’, if you got the energy. You wanna go see a game, you just get yourself some tickets and go. Plenty of games to choose from, that’s for sure. Football, baseball, hockey, soccer, they got it all. It keeps folks happy, givin’ ’em somethin’ to cheer for. And that’s important, ya know? Gotta have somethin’ to look forward to, somethin’ to get excited about.
So, that’s what I know about Seattle sports. Like I said, I ain’t no expert, but I know what I like. I like winnin’, I like seein’ folks play hard, and I like havin’ somethin’ to cheer for. And Seattle, well, it’s got plenty of that.
Seattle Sports News is always comin’ out, ya know. They talkin’ about trades, who’s gettin’ traded where, who’s gettin’ paid how much. It’s all a big business, I tell ya. But at the end of the day, it’s just a game, right? Somethin’ to entertain us, somethin’ to take our minds off things. And that’s good enough for me. So go on, cheer for your team, yell at the TV, have a good time. That’s what it’s all about.
