Alright, listen up, y’all. We’re gonna talk about eatin’ healthy at that Outback place, you know, the steakhouse? Yeah, that one. Folks always thinkin’ it’s just big ol’ steaks and greasy stuff, but even a place like that got some things that won’t make your belly ache too much.

First off, let’s talk about them steaks. Now, I love a good steak, don’t get me wrong, but some of them are just too fatty. You gotta be smart about it. They got this thing called Victoria’s Filet Mignon. Sounds fancy, I know, but it’s just a smaller, leaner piece of meat. That’s what you want. Less fat, more good stuff for your body. And don’t go gettin’ it all covered in sauces and butter, neither. Just a little bit of seasoning is all you need.

Then there’s the seafood. Shrimp, they got. Grilled shrimp. That’s good eatin’. They cook it on the grill, no extra oil or butter messin’ it up. You can taste the shrimp, not just a bunch of grease. And fish, too, sometimes they got good fish. Just gotta ask how they cook it. Fried is bad, grilled is good. That ain’t hard to remember, is it?

  • Good Choices:
    • Victoria’s Filet Mignon
    • Grilled Shrimp on the Barbie
    • Leaner cuts of steak
    • Grilled fish
  • Not-So-Good Choices:
    • Big, fatty steaks
    • Anything fried
    • Lots of creamy sauces

Now, they got all sorts of sides, too. Don’t go orderin’ fries and cheesy potatoes and all that junk. You want veggies. They got steamed veggies, grilled veggies. Those are your friends. And a plain baked potato, that’s alright, too. Just don’t load it up with butter and sour cream and cheese, you hear me? A little bit is okay, but don’t go crazy.

Portions, that’s another thing. These restaurants, they give you so much food, enough for two or three people sometimes. You don’t gotta eat it all. You can take some home, or you can just order a smaller portion to begin with. They got somethin’ called “smaller portions” or somethin’ like that on the menu. Look for that. Your stomach will thank you later.

And listen, don’t be scared to ask questions. If you ain’t sure how somethin’s cooked, ask the waiter. They work there, they should know. Ask if they can cook it without butter, or if they can put the sauce on the side. Most of the time, they’ll do it for you. It don’t hurt to ask. They ain’t gonna bite your head off.

Another thing, they got this chicken, grilled chicken. That’s usually pretty good, not too much fat. Just make sure it ain’t covered in some sugary sauce or somethin’. Plain is best, like I said before. And they got salads, too. But watch out for them creamy dressings, they’re full of fat and sugar. Get a light vinaigrette, or just a little bit of oil and vinegar. That’s better for ya.

So, to sum it all up, here’s what you gotta remember: Lean meats, grilled or baked, not fried. Veggies, lots of veggies. Smaller portions. Don’t be afraid to ask questions. And don’t go crazy with the sauces and butter. That’s how you eat healthy, even at a place like Outback. It ain’t rocket science, it’s just common sense, really.

Now, I ain’t no fancy doctor or nothin’, just a regular person who knows a thing or two about eatin’ good. And I’m tellin’ ya, you can enjoy a meal out without feelin’ guilty afterwards. Just gotta make smart choices, that’s all. And remember, a little bit of somethin’ you like is okay, just don’t go overboard. Life’s too short to not enjoy food, but it’s also too short to be feelin’ sick all the time from eatin’ the wrong stuff.

One last thing, they got them peppers, seared peppers they call ’em. Sometimes they put ’em on fish, sometimes on steak. Those are good, too. Adds a little flavor without addin’ a lot of calories. And don’t forget, water is your friend. Drink plenty of water, it’ll help you feel full and it’s good for ya. Skip the sugary sodas and all that other sweet stuff. Just plain water, that’s all you need.

So next time you’re at the Outback, remember these tips. You can eat healthy and still enjoy your meal. It’s all about making good choices and not overdoing it. And that’s all there is to it, folks.
