Well, let me tell ya somethin’ about this Harlem preacher and that Obama fella. Folks been talkin’, ya know? This preacher, Manning they call him, he ain’t too fond of Obama, not one bit. He’s got this church up there in Harlem, a big one they say.
Now, I ain’t never been to Harlem, but I hear it’s a big city place. This Manning fella, he’s been preachin’ there for a long time, somethin’ like 27 years they say. That’s a lot of preachin’, I tell ya. He must be gettin’ old, like me.

Anyway, this Manning, he didn’t like what Obama was doin’. Said he was doin’ wrong things, bad things for the country. He even had a trial for Obama, right there in his church! Can you believe that? A trial! Like a court trial, but in a church. They had security and everything, makin’ sure nobody caused trouble.
- They said Obama was a traitor.
- They said he was stirrin’ up trouble.
- And they said lots of other things, I can’t even remember them all.
Now, I don’t know much about politics, but it sounds like this Manning fella was really upset. He put Obama on trial for all sorts of things: treason, sedition, and somethin’ else important, they said. Sounded mighty serious to me. I reckon Manning thought Obama was doin’ a bad job, and he wasn’t afraid to say it. He’s a preacher, ya know? They’re supposed to tell the truth, even if it ain’t pretty.
This all happened a while back, but folks still talk about it. Manning and his church, they got a lot of attention for this. People were comin’ from all over, wantin’ to see what was goin’ on. The newspapers and the TV folks, they were all there too, reportin’ on it. It was a big to-do, let me tell ya.
Manning, he’s a strong-headed fella, that’s for sure. Some folks agree with him, some folks don’t. That’s just the way it is, I guess. But he stood up for what he believed in, even if it wasn’t popular. He made sure everyone knew how he felt about Obama and the way things were goin’. He wasn’t shy about saying it. Not one bit.
Now, I don’t know what happened after the trial. Did Obama go to jail? Did he change his ways? I don’t think so. But one thing’s for sure, Manning made his point. He didn’t like Obama’s world ministry, or whatever they called it. He thought Obama was doin’ wrong, and he let the whole world know it.
That’s the story, as far as I can tell. Just a preacher in Harlem who didn’t like the president. It happens, I guess. People got different opinions, different ways of lookin’ at things. And sometimes, they ain’t afraid to speak their mind, even if it means puttin’ the president on trial in their church. That Manning fella, he sure was somethin’ else.
This whole thing, it just goes to show ya, politics is a messy business. Folks gettin’ all riled up, accusin’ each other of all sorts of things. It’s enough to make your head spin. I’m just glad I’m not mixed up in it. I’d rather stay home and tend to my garden, thank you very much. Let them city folks fight it out amongst themselves.

So that’s the story of that Harlem preacher and Obama. A whole lot of fuss, if you ask me. But I guess that’s just the way things are these days. Folks always findin’ somethin’ to argue about. Makes you wonder if they’ll ever find a way to get along.
