Well, let me tell ya, I just watched this movie, somethin’ called “Inside Out 2,” and I gotta say, it was somethin’ else. I ain’t no fancy movie critic or nothin’, but I know what I like, and this here movie, it got me thinkin’.
It’s about this girl, Riley, and all the little voices inside her head. You know, like when you get all jittery before a big day? Or when you’re so happy you could just burst? That’s what this movie’s about, all them feelings fightin’ for control.
Now, the first movie, I didn’t see it, but my grandkid told me it was about happy, sad, and all that. This time, there’s new fellers in town, like Anxiety. Boy, oh boy, that Anxiety feller, he’s a real piece of work. Always frettin’ and fussin’. Reminds me of my old hen, always cluckin’ about somethin’.
- And the other feelings? Well, they’re a mixed bag, let me tell ya.
- You got your Joy, always tryin’ to be happy-go-lucky, but even she gets a run for her money.
- Then there’s Sadness, kinda mopey, but you know, sometimes you just gotta feel sad.
- And Anger, oh lordy, that one’s a firecracker! Always ready to blow his top.
- Fear, he’s jumpy as a cat on a hot tin roof.
This here movie shows how all them feelings mess with Riley’s head. She’s growin’ up, see, and things ain’t so simple no more. Kids these days, they got so much on their minds. Back in my day, we worried about gettin’ the chores done and not much else. But these youngsters, they got school and friends and all sorts of pressure. No wonder they get all tangled up inside.
The movie, it’s funny in parts, ya know, makes you chuckle. Like when Anxiety takes over and starts plannin’ for everythin’ that could go wrong. Reminds me of my neighbor, always worryin’ about the sky fallin’. But it’s also got its sad parts, moments that make you wanna reach out and give that little Riley a hug.

There’s this one part where Riley’s tryin’ to fit in with the cool kids, and she starts changin’ who she is to impress ’em. That part, it hit me hard. We all done that, ain’t we? Tried to be somethin’ we ain’t just to fit in. But this movie shows ya, that ain’t the way to go. You gotta be true to yourself, even if it ain’t easy.
And the colors, oh my, they’re somethin’ to see. All bright and flashy, like a firework show. Keeps your eyes glued to the screen, that’s for sure. And the little characters inside Riley’s head, they’re cute as buttons, even when they’re bein’ all dramatic.
Now, I ain’t gonna spoil the endin’ for ya, but I will say this: it’s a good movie, a real heartwarming one. It reminds you that even when things get tough, and your feelings are all over the place, you ain’t alone. We all got them voices inside our heads, and sometimes they fight, but in the end, they all just want what’s best for ya. It also shows ya that growin’ up ain’t easy, and it’s okay to feel all sorts of things, even the not-so-good ones. It’s part of life, just like weeds in a cornfield.
So, if you’re lookin’ for a movie that’ll make you laugh, make you cry, and make you think, then go see “Inside Out 2.” It ain’t just for kids, neither. Us old folks, we got feelings too, ya know, maybe even more than them youngsters. And this movie, it speaks to that. It reminds ya that even when you feel like a tangled ball of yarn, there’s still joy to be found.
And let me tell ya, this movie, it ain’t one of them preachy ones, tryin’ to shove some message down your throat. It just tells a story, a simple story about a girl and her feelings, but it does it in a way that makes you feel somethin’. And that, to me, that’s what makes a good movie. Not all that fancy special effects or big explosions, but heart. This movie got heart, and that’s more than you can say for a lot of things these days. So go on, give it a watch. You might just learn a thing or two about them feelings inside your own head.

I heard some folks sayin’ somethin’ about this movie bein’ “woke” or somethin’. Now, I ain’t got no idea what that means, but I can tell you this: this movie’s about feelin’s, plain and simple. And last I checked, feelin’s ain’t got no political party. Everybody feels things, whether you’re a city slicker or a country bumpkin like me. So don’t let all that fancy talk scare you off. This here’s a movie for everyone, and that’s that.
