Alright, listen up, y’all. Let me tell ya ’bout this show, “The Boys,” season four, ya hear? It’s a real humdinger, let me tell ya.
First off, what’s this “The Boys” all about?
Well, it’s like this. There’s these superheroes, right? But they ain’t no goody-two-shoes like them fellas in the old comic books. Nah, these superheroes, they’re rotten to the core, most of ’em. Thinkin’ they’re better than everyone else, usin’ their powers for their own good, causin’ all sorts of trouble.
So, this fella Butcher, he’s got a real bone to pick with these supes. They done wronged him somethin’ fierce, and he’s out for revenge, see? He gathers up a crew, “The Boys,” they call themselves, and they go around kickin’ supe butt. It ain’t pretty, but it’s somethin’.
Now, season four, that’s where things get really spicy.
- They started filmin’ this thing way back in August 2022, in that Toronto place. Took ’em long enough, I say.
- And Amazon, they said they’d make another season way back in June 2022. Guess they like makin’ money, huh?
That fella Kripke, he’s the one makin’ the show go. He says this season’s all about Butcher tryin’ to save this kid Ryan’s soul. Sounds like a mess to me. He compared it to some movie, Kramer somethin’ or other, mixed with that Avengers flick. Don’t know nothin’ ’bout that, but I reckon it means there’s gonna be a whole lotta drama and fightin’.
This season, it’s a real rollercoaster, I tell ya. Things just keep gettin’ crazier and crazier. One minute they’re fightin’ this supe, the next minute they’re fightin’ that one. It’s like a chicken runnin’ around with its head cut off.
And let me tell ya, there’s spoilers everywhere! Folks online, they just can’t keep their mouths shut. So, if you don’t wanna know what happens, you better stay off the internet. Or just don’t listen to them gossipy folks.
What I think about it all?
Well, it ain’t for the faint of heart, that’s for sure. There’s blood and guts and all sorts of nasty stuff. But if you can stomach it, it’s a pretty wild ride. Keeps you on the edge of your seat, that’s for sure. And these supes? They ain’t nothin’ but trouble, I tell ya. Always causin’ a ruckus and thinkin’ they’re above the law.
This season, they wrapped up some stories, but they left some things hangin’ too. Guess they’re plannin’ on makin’ another season, the fifth one they say, to finish it all up. Hope they don’t drag it out too long, though. Ain’t nobody got time for that.
So, should you watch it?
Well, that’s up to you, ain’t it? If you like them superhero shows with a whole lotta twists and turns, and you ain’t afraid of a little blood and guts, then yeah, give it a shot. But don’t say I didn’t warn ya, it’s a scuffed up kinda show, that’s for sure. It ain’t all sunshine and rainbows, let me tell ya.
Anyways, that’s the long and short of it. “The Boys” season four. It’s a wild one. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go feed the chickens.
