Alright, alright, let’s gab about them big music parties, the ones they call “EDM festivals”. I heard folks talkin’ about ‘em, sounds like a whole lotta noise and lights, but hey, young folks like it, so who am I to judge?

Now, they say the biggest one, the real whopper, is called Tomorrowland. Happens over in some place called Belgium, not sure where that is exactly, but sounds far. They say it’s huge, like, more people than you see at the county fair, I reckon. They do it in July, I think, when it’s hot, just like our summers here. They been doin’ this Tomorrowland thing since way back in 2005, can you believe it? Started small, I bet, now it’s a whole big to-do.
Then there’s this other one, Ultra somethin’ or other. They have it in a lot of places, even over here in America, and I heard they got one in Korea too. Big shot music stars go there, the ones the young’uns listen to on their phones all day. Seems like every big name in that loud music shows up, like it’s the place to be seen.
And let me tell you, America, that’s where most of these parties happen. We love our noise here, I guess. Seems like all these fancy DJs and music makers, they come from America mostly, then some from places like Sweden and, uh, Canada, I think. Not sure what they’re puttin’ in the water up there, but it makes for some lively music, that’s for sure.
Another big one they talk about is Electric Daisy Carnival, they call it EDC for short. That one’s in Las Vegas, the city of lights and gamblin’. Seems fittin’, all that bright light music in a bright light city. They got another big one in Romania too, called UNTOLD. And don’t forget Mysteryland, that’s another name I heard thrown around.
- So, you got your Tomorrowland in Belgium.
- You got your Ultra everywhere, it seems.
- You got your EDC in Vegas.
- Then there’s UNTOLD in Romania.
- And don’t forget Mysteryland.
Seems like a lot of travelin’ just to hear some loud music, but like I said, young folks, they got their ways. Me? I’d rather sit on the porch with a glass of sweet tea, but to each their own, right? These festivals, they got lights, they got music, they got all sorts of fancy stuff. They’re big, real big, thousands and thousands of people all jumpin’ and dancin’ and whatnot.

It’s a whole different world, I tell ya. These kids, they spend good money on these things, money I’d be savin’ for a rainy day. But I guess if it makes ‘em happy, that’s all that matters. They got their music, I got my peace and quiet. And that’s just fine by me. From what I hear, Europe and the United States, those are the places to be if you want to go to these big music shindigs. Seems like every weekend there’s somethin’ goin’ on somewhere.
So, if you’re into that loud music and all them lights, you got plenty of choices. Just remember to pack your earplugs, ‘cause from what I hear, it gets mighty loud. And drink plenty of water, especially if you’re out there in that Vegas heat. Me? I’ll stick to my porch swing. But you young folks, you go on and have your fun. Life’s too short not to enjoy yourself, I always say.
In short, these EDM fests are huge deals, real crowd-pleasers. They happen all over, but mostly in America and Europe. Big names, big lights, big noise. Not my cup of tea, but the youngsters seem to love ‘em. And that’s all there is to it, really.
